According to the Baltimore Police Department, On September 21, 2022, at approximately 10:56 p.m., Northwest District patrol officers responded to a parking lot in the 4300 block of Windsor Mill Road, for a report of a vehicle fire.Once there, officers were met by Baltimore City fire fighters, who had already extinguished the fire. As fire personal gained entry into the vehicle, they located the body of a 39-year-old male. The victim had been shot.
Later on, CBS News reported that police have identified a man they say was abducted Wednesday night in Hanover and found dead in the trunk of a car on fire in Baltimore City as Steven Gillus, a 39-year-old Hanover resident. Officers responded around 9 p.m. Wednesday evening to a possible assault and abduction from the 7700 block of Arundel Mills Boulevard in Hanover, Anne Arundel County Police said. A witness told police she was in the parking garage at the Hotel at Arundel Preserve when she saw what she believed to be a person being stabbed. The witness then said she saw a second person pull out a gun and force a man into the back of the car and they took off.
On Thursday, Baltimore City detectives notified Anne Arundel County Police that their officers responded to a car fire in the 4300 block of Windsor Mill Road.
