Mr Njoroge trained as an accountant and he worked at the University of Nairobi main campus in the Library section. He acquired the land on which St Eunice was built when he was a young man studying at school in the 1960's.

Mrs Njoroge, as she was fondly known, trained as a teacher in Mosoriot Teacher Training College in Eldoret in the 1960's. Mrs Njoroge worked in various teaching institutions until together with Mr Njoroge they founded St Eunice in 1985. The school is named after her as she wanted to leave a legacy of high quality education in the local community.
