Trends in Biomaterials and Artificial Organs is a peer-reviewed international journal and the official publication of the Society for Biomaterials and Artificial Organs (India) (SBAOI), a sister society of the Society for Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine – India (STERMI).
The journal publishes Original Research Articles, Short Communications, Review Articles and Letters to the Editor in English. It focuses on research related to Biomaterials, Artificial Organs, Tissue Engineering, Regenerative Medicine and Drug Delivery.
The scope of the journal includes the synthesis, characterization and biocompatibility evaluation of biomaterials such as metals, alloys, polymers, ceramics, natural materials and their composite forms. It also covers nanostructures, scaffold fabrication, tissue regeneration and advanced manufacturing techniques including 3D bioprinting.
In addition, the journal highlights the design, validation and performance evaluation of medical devices, implants and prostheses used across various medical specialties such as cardiovascular, neurological, orthopedic, maxillofacial, spinal, ophthalmic and dental applications, along with diagnostic devices and drug delivery systems.
