Support Information: Steps iOS App


1. Getting Started

Downloading the App:

Visit the App Store on your iPhone.

Search for “Steps.”

Tap “Get” to download and install the app.

Launching the App:

Open the app after installation.

No sign-up or account creation is required.



2. Tracking Your Steps

Viewing Your Data:

On the main page, you can track:

Daily Steps: View the number of steps taken each day.

Average Steps: Check your average steps over time.

Daily Distance: See the distance covered each day.

Average Distance: Review your average distance over time.

Visualising Data: Use chart views to see your steps and distance trends.

Data Source:

All step and distance data is managed and generated by Apple Health, not stored within the app.



3. Customising Your Experience

Settings Page:

Tap on the Settings page to customise the look and feel of the app.

Support: Reach out for any queries or support from the Support row in Settings.



4. Notifications and Reminders

Setting Reminders:

Configure reminders to help you stay on track with your daily step goals (if applicable).

Managing Notifications:

Go to “Settings” > “Notifications” to manage your notification preferences for the app.



5. Troubleshooting

App Crashes or Freezes:

Try restarting the app or your device.

Ensure you have the latest version of the app installed.

If problems persist, contact our support team.

Data Sync Issues:

Ensure Apple Health is correctly set up and synced with the Steps app.

Check that permissions are granted for the Steps app to access Apple Health data.

Notifications Not Appearing:

Check device notification settings to ensure they are enabled for the app.

Make sure “Do Not Disturb” is not active on your device.
