Overview

StepHydra is a wellness utility app that tracks steps, activity, and hydration progress. The app is designed to work primarily on-device. This Privacy Policy explains what data StepHydra handles and how it is used.

Data Collection

StepHydra does not require account creation and does not collect personal information such as:

• Name

• Email address

• Phone number

• Precise location

• Contacts

• Payment information

StepHydra does not sell or share personal information.

Motion Sensor Data

StepHydra uses device motion sensor events (accelerometer data) to estimate activity and step counts.

• Sensor readings are processed on-device to infer movement patterns.

• Raw sensor readings are not sent to a remote server by the app.

Local Data Storage

To provide daily/weekly progress and streaks, StepHydra stores app data locally on your device using platform storage.

Examples of locally stored data include:

• Daily step count

• Daily water intake

• Activity/standing minute indicators

• Recent history and streak summaries

• App preferences such as unit settings

This data stays on your device unless you explicitly share information yourself using external device features.

Data Retention

StepHydra retains local app data only for as long as you keep the app installed or keep its stored data on your device.

• Daily and history data remain on your device until you delete them.

• StepHydra does not maintain a cloud copy or server-side copy of your data.

• If you uninstall the app or clear the app's storage from your device settings, the locally stored app data is removed.

How to Delete Your Data

You can delete your data in the following ways:

• In the app, open the Profile tab and use Reset Today's Data to clear today's step, water, and standing data.

• In the app, open the Profile tab and use Delete All App Data to remove all stored steps, water, streaks, and settings from this device.

• To remove all stored StepHydra data, uninstall the app or clear the app's storage/data from your device settings.

Network and Third-Party Services

The current production app does not include:

• Required sign-in services

• Advertising SDKs

• Background analytics or telemetry SDKs

StepHydra may open external links when you choose actions such as rating the app on Google Play or sending feedback by email. Those actions are handled by external apps/services you select, such as your browser or email app.

Permissions

StepHydra uses only the minimum device capabilities needed for core app behavior and user-requested actions.

Children's Privacy

StepHydra is a general wellness tool and is not specifically directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Data Security

Because StepHydra processes and stores data locally by default, exposure risk is reduced. Standard operating system protections, such as app sandboxing, apply.

Changes to This Policy

If privacy practices change, this policy will be updated and the Last updated date will be revised.
