• Contracted to automate the generation of shareholders' equity reports for Intel’s Treasury Accounting group. Required extensive knowledge of Excel and Access VBA to reverse engineer current accounting processes related to interest, foreign exchange, and stockholder equity, and to import data from a variety of sources.

Senior Programmer Analyst • August 2006 – September 2006

• Contracted to help modify a distribution management system used by a Kroger’s subsidiary to utilize standardized UPC codes in place of the arbitrary product identifiers currently in use. This required extensive client application rewrites, as well as updates to the SQL Server’s stored procedures, DTS packages, and the SQL Server Agent jobs used to run many of them.

Programmer Analyst • May 2001 – July 2006

• Designed and wrote a data management tool using VB, T-SQL, and stored procedures for the Quadramed Content Department to reduce data errors and decrease time for data updates.

• Worked independently to rewrite the code edits, grouper, and data build tools in the legacy application to eliminate redundant content management, and extend the applications product life until customers could migrate to the new Quadramed application.

• Wrote tools to migrate customers from the legacy VB product to Quadramed’s Java application using XML, thus eliminating the need for manual re-entry of thousands of records.

• Enhanced the SQL Server and Oracle database maintenance applications to simplify and streamline customer support and InstallShield updates.

• Added support for outpatient records to the OSHPD reporting tool written in VB.

• Collaborated on the design and implementation of a proposed object oriented client/server application using COM, focusing primarily on the user interface and error handling objects.

• Rewrote VB server management utility to use CDO e-mail authentication, thereby removing the need to maintain redundant user tables in MS Access.

• Developed ActiveX DLL support for third-party address books using ODBC and various proprietary data sources.

• Increased customer base by updating the VB client application to integrate with any third-party applications supporting command-line calls.

• Created a licensing scheme for authenticating Wise InstallMaster customer installations, thus protecting company revenue.
