I am a fourth-year PhD candidate in Accounting at Erasmus University Rotterdam and will be on the academic job market in academic year 2025-2026. During the 2024-2025 academic year, I was a visiting PhD student at the University of Colorado Boulder. Prior to joining the PhD, I received a research master's degree in Business Data Science, as well as bachelor's degrees in Econometrics & Operations Research and in Economics & Business Economics.
My research is centered around disclosure and I leverage my data science background to systematically process and interpret textual disclosures. A central question in my work is how disclosure is strategically used by firms. Some of my projects examine firm disclosure responses to regulatory shocks (e.g., the EU AI Act and U.S. state-level pay transparency laws), while other projects explore disclosure choices more broadly (e.g., in a loss-making environment or under E&S regulatory fragmentation). Collectively, my work contributes to our understanding of disclosure as both a communication tool and a strategic choice given institutional and informational frictions.Â
