Background: I am from Gaffney, SC and graduated from Lander University in May 2021. I earned a Bachelor of Science in Special Education and Read to Succeed Certification. While attending Lander University, I was a part of Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society, Council for Exceptional Children, and Gamma Phi Beta. I served as Vice-President of Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society and PACE Chair in Gamma Phi Beta. I currently teach middle and high school resource in the virtual environment. I am a third year teacher. I graduate with my Masters in Educational Leadership on May 1st, 2024 and currently serve at the President of Kappa Delta Pi Honor Society.
When I began thinking of my future career, I knew that my overall goal was to earn a doctorate degree. As years passed, I began to volunteer at a local Disability and Special Needs Board where my mom worked. I fell in love with working with adults with special needs but felt lead to work with students in the school system. I obtained a degree in Special Education and became a teacher and met my first career goal at 22. I felt lead again to lead and now working towards a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. After obtaining my first Masters, I attend to begin the journey of becoming a School Psychologist. I want to be at the forefront of advocating for students to receive the appropriate services to ensure they are successful in their academic and functional lives. I aspire to be a life long learner and that I will be.
