Jemidevleper ("we", "us", or "our") provides Step Counter - Walk Tracker (the "App"). This Privacy Policy explains what information the App processes, why it processes that information, how information is shared and retained, and the choices available to you.

1. Information We Process
Activity and fitness information
The App accesses your device's motion and step-counting sensors to record steps and generate activity summaries. These summaries may include step totals, walking duration, estimated distance, estimated calories, daily goals, and historical activity records. When you enable step tracking, sensor processing can continue in the background, including while the screen is off, subject to your device settings and Android restrictions.
Information you enter
You may enter information such as height, weight, stride length, and a daily step goal where these settings are offered. The App uses these inputs to calculate estimates and personalize your activity display. Distance and calorie figures are estimates, not direct medical measurements.
Local storage
Your activity records and fitness profile inputs are stored locally on your device. We do not upload these records or inputs to our servers or send them to advertising or analytics providers. The App does not offer an account-based fitness database or an in-app cloud synchronization service.
Device, usage, advertising, and diagnostic information
The advertising, analytics, and crash-reporting services described below may collect device model, operating system and App version, language, app-instance identifiers, advertising identifiers when available and permitted, IP address, general location inferred from IP address, App interactions, advertising interactions, and crash or performance information. These services process information on their servers under their applicable terms and privacy policies. We do not include step counts, weight, height, or other fitness records in analytics events, crash attachments, or advertising requests.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you include in your message. Please avoid sending fitness records or other sensitive information unless necessary to resolve your request.
2. How We Use Information
We process information to:
- Count steps and display activity summaries and historical trends.
- Calculate estimated distance and calories using activity information and your settings.
- Show progress toward goals you choose.
- Provide tracking notifications and reminders where enabled.
- Maintain App stability, investigate technical problems, and understand general feature usage.
- Display and measure advertisements, subject to applicable consent requirements.
- Respond to support and privacy requests and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your health or fitness information. We do not use it for targeted advertising, advertising audience creation, or marketing profiles, or disclose it to advertising networks, data brokers, or insurers.
3. Permissions and Background Operation
Physical activity / ACTIVITY_RECOGNITION
On Android versions that require it, this permission allows access to physical activity and step information needed for automatic counting. Denying or revoking it may prevent automatic step tracking.
Notifications / POST_NOTIFICATIONS
Where used, this permission allows tracking status, step progress, and reminders to appear in notifications. You can manage notification access in Android settings. Notification permission does not itself authorize access to your activity data.
Foreground service permissions
Where implemented for ongoing tracking, a foreground service helps maintain the tracking session and displays the notification required by Android. It is used for the tracking functionality you enable, subject to Android requirements. You can stop tracking using the App's controls or manage the App through Android settings.
Internet access
Network access supports advertisements, analytics, diagnostics, and online support links. Fitness calculations do not require sending your fitness records over the network.
The App does not request precise or background location access for basic step counting, and does not record a GPS route. It does not require access to contacts, SMS, microphone, camera, or your installed-app inventory for its counting functions. App-private storage does not require broad access to your photos or shared files.
4. Third-Party Services and Advertising
The App uses the following services:
Google AdMob
Purpose: displaying advertisements, measuring advertising performance, and detecting invalid traffic. AdMob may process advertising or device identifiers, IP address, device information, ad interactions, and related diagnostic information. Where legally required, we request consent before enabling consent-dependent advertising processing. Advertising choices can be managed through the App's privacy options where available and your device's advertising settings. Resetting or deleting an advertising identifier does not necessarily stop all advertising-related processing.

Firebase Analytics
Purpose: understanding general App usage and feature performance. It may process app-instance identifiers, device details, and interaction events. We exclude fitness records and profile measurements from analytics event data.
Firebase Crashlytics
Purpose: investigating crashes and stability issues. It may process installation identifiers, stack traces, device and App details, and diagnostic logs. We exclude fitness records and profile measurements from diagnostic logs and attachments.

Third-party providers process information according to their respective roles and privacy policies. A provider's privacy policy does not replace our responsibility for the data processing we enable through the App.
5. Other Disclosures
We may disclose information we hold to service providers supporting our operations, where necessary to comply with a valid legal requirement, or to investigate fraud, security incidents, or threats to rights and safety. Any disclosure is limited to what is necessary and legally permitted. If a business reorganization affects personal information we hold, we will provide any legally required notice and safeguards. These circumstances do not authorize advertising use or sale of your fitness information.
If you choose to send information to another service yourself, that recipient's processing is governed by its own privacy practices.
6. Retention and Deletion
Local fitness records remain on your device until you delete them, clear the App's storage, or uninstall the App. Clearing storage or uninstalling removes the App's local records but does not necessarily delete copies retained in a device or operating-system backup. Backup availability and deletion depend on your Android and backup-provider settings; any restored backup can restore previously saved information.
Support correspondence is retained while necessary to resolve the request and address related issues or legal obligations, after which it is deleted or de-identified. Information processed by advertising, analytics, and diagnostic providers is retained according to their configured retention settings and applicable policies. We do not retain information indefinitely simply because it was collected.
To request access to or deletion of personal information held by us, email jemijamshaid370@gmail.com. We may request information reasonably necessary to verify and locate your request. We respond within the time required by applicable law. We cannot remotely retrieve or delete records stored only on your device; use Android's App storage controls for those records. Where information must be retained for legal reasons, we will explain the applicable reason and retention criteria.
7. Your Choices and Privacy Rights
You can manage permissions and notifications through Android settings, stop tracking through the App's controls, change your fitness settings where supported, and clear local data through Android's App storage settings.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, and complain to your local data protection authority. These may include rights under applicable European, UK, Brazilian, and US state privacy laws. Where applicable, you can also exercise rights to opt out of sale, sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising, or targeted advertising. Contact us using the email above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising applicable privacy rights.
Where consent is required, we obtain it before the relevant processing begins. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of prior processing. Other processing relies on an appropriate legal basis, such as providing a requested service, meeting legal obligations, or legitimate interests where permitted. A permission prompt or your continued use of the App is not a substitute for legally required consent.
8. Security and International Processing
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information processed. Network transmissions of personal information are protected using modern encryption, such as HTTPS. No storage or transmission system can be guaranteed completely secure.
Our service providers may process technical, advertising, diagnostic, or support information in countries outside your country of residence. Where required, applicable international transfer safeguards are used. You can contact us for information about safeguards relevant to your data.
9. Children's Privacy
The App is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, or under a higher minimum age where applicable law requires it. We do not knowingly collect personal information from such children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.
10. Fitness Information Disclaimer
The App is a general fitness and wellness tool, not a medical device. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any medical condition and does not provide medical advice. Step totals and distance, duration, and calorie estimates may vary with device sensors, phone placement, personal settings, and system restrictions. Consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical advice or before changing an exercise routine if you have health concerns.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when our features, data practices, or legal obligations change. We will update the date above and provide additional notice or request new consent where required before making relevant changes effective.
