ABout STEMTeachersdmv

In early 2025, a group of STEM educators in the DMV decided to start a local organization to connect STEM educators across DC, Maryland, and Virginia and encourage networking, collaboration, and professional learning opportunities. We received a grant from STEMTeachersNYC to launch our fledgling organization, and we connected with American University, which has graciously hosted most of our events since.

Our inaugural meeting in May 2025 set the stage for the organization. Since then, we've offered several free professional development and social networking opportunities for educators, and we look forward to offering more as we continue to grow our network and community across the DMV area.
