Brief introduction: This PBL project will focus on testing how various objects thrown from different heights affect the patterns in the blood splatters. The objects will be dropped onto the blood mixture we created from a solution of iron (III) chloride and potassium thiocyanate. Three different tests will be conducted for each object at different heights. At the end of each test, data will be recorded and added to the graphs. With this information, we will be able to justify our primary hypothesis.
Driving Question: How do various factors, such as objects and height affect blood splatter patterns?
Here Joel is mixing together both solutions to create the fake blood.
Here Joel is measuring the diameter of the blood splatter in inches.
