STEMPATHS officially launched!

As of April 2026, the STEMPATHS project has officially begun. Over the next two years, until March 2028, we will investigate the factors shaping gender gaps in STEM education and careers.

The evidence from Spain is discouraging: over the past 30 years, university field-of-study choices have become more gendered, rather than less.

Postdoctoral position in the STEMPATHS project

A postdoctoral position is now open within the STEMPATHS project at the Department of Sociology, University of Vienna.

Application deadline: September 23, 2026

Starting date: November 1, 2026 (a later start date is also possible).

Duration: 1 year (with the option of a 5-month extension)
