One of the essential skills a new teacher can develop is a competency with technology integration. Teachers are increasingly asked to expand teaching and learning experiences which includes more attention on digital tools and outside of the classroom experiences. Teaching with technology can enhance student engagement in learning and support instructional objectives. However, it can also be a challenge to select the best or appropriate technology tools while not losing sight of the goals for student learning.

The intention of this toolkit is to provide mentors with a framework for teacher knowledge for technology integration, provide some examples of effective practices in teaching science with technology, and resources that may be used when implementing technology in STEM teaching.

Engage: Complete one of the short courses on TPACK Activity Types. Create a mentoring and learning plan that includes at least 1 of the activity types.
