Summertree Interior’s co-owner; Cristy Alvarez was born in Guadalajara, Mexico. She loved education, wanted to understand the framework around the scientific study of human learning, and received a B.S. Degree in Educational Psychology from a private University. Cristy has always had an eye for design. Her creativity and artistic vision for color, design, and fashion drew crowds! It was those traits that catapulted her furniture manufacturing business, capturing the eyes of many including executives on HGTV and celebrities from around the world. Cristy was able to do this with the love of her life; Mr. Pockets Alvarez. Pockets was the builder, and Cristy was the designer. Together for 26 years, they grew their business from their home garage at which Cristy became pregnant with her first of three sons! Full time mother, wife, and business owner, Cristy and Pockets expanded their company to what it is today. She will be the first person to tell you that “you can do anything that you want to do, just put your heart and mind to it”.
Scott Langley is the Sr. Director of People Strategy with responsibility for the Beaumont, CA and Vero Beach, FL locations. Scott spent 20 years in a variety of Product Supply roles with Procter & Gamble before focusing on Human Resources for the last 15 years. The majority of Scott’s career has been in consumer products with some time in automotive and pharmaceutical industries. Scott has a BS in Industrial Engineering from the University of Arizona and an MBA from Pepperdine.
Jerry Badeau is the Vice President of Operations for the Beaumont, CA site. Jerry has over 40 years of experience in the citrus industry in a variety of roles. Jerry started his career as a fruit unloader and spent 30 years with Sunkist. Through hard work, high energy and strong relationships worked his way up to his current role with Perricone Farms. Jerry has expert knowledge in many aspects of the citrus business. Jerry earned his BS Organizational Management from Fresno Pacific University while he maintained a fulltime job.
Connor Spiegelman leads the Carbon University Program which prioritizes advancing 3D printing and Carbon technology in academia. Connor's aim is to engage directly with faculty and students to find success in student-led projects, academic programs, and nation wide initiatives.
Jason is a 3D printing evangelist who has been utilizing any number of 3D printed processes for work in cinema. Jason's work, such as the Iron Man suit, has been seen and enjoyed by people around the world. Achieving the necessary aesthetic and function required Jason to push 3D printing to its limits, which in some ways led him to Carbon, where our wide range of game changing capabilities enable innovation in so many different ways. Jason's current role involves engaging with current and future customers to show the potential of Carbon's Digital Light Synthesis (DLS) process in industry.
