Sept 30 An outdoor day for STEM Club while Badgestravaganza has the building (we have bathroom access). Hand tools and some electric tools. Safety above all else. Avoid splinters. Hacksaw and carpenter's hand saw. C clamps to immobilize what you are cutting. Cut round and square dowels and balsa wood to take home. Sandpaper. Laminate cereal-box cardboard into a tube to see how strong it gets. Drill a hole in a 2x4 and glue in a round dowel. Watch a circular saw with abrasive blade cut aluminum and steel. Bend rebar wire. Drill pilot hole and drive a screw.
