How can Stem Cell enhancement help your game? The benefits I have experienced range from surfing better, better workouts and better quality of sleep.
Over the past two years, I've maintained a pretty solid workout routine. But since we've all been effected by COVID-19 with beach closures and stay at home orders, some of us (me) have been indulging in beer and food. With that, I want to point out that we have to make sure when we are able to get back into the lineup we are safe and in shape for taking that set on the head and being held down and cutting off our buddies.
Here’s a sample workout that I do. Four sets each, with little or no break between exercises:
100 jump ropes
100 jumping jacks
50 pushups
100 crunches on a ball
15 step-ups
10 burpies
(I use Fitness Bands and Gorilla Bow)
The routine is pretty brutal in the beginning and it may take a week or two for your body to get used to it and not be ridiculously sore. The Stem Cell enhancement I use has drastically improved my recovery time, allowing me to surf harder and longer without missing a swell because I'm "too sore" from working out.
My current routine is basically a pseudo-CrossFit routine that I do about three times a week. It’s high-intensity and utilizes your own body weight to get you fit. So there’s a lot of sprinting, push-ups, sit-ups and pull ups. The point is to listen to killer music and get your heart rate up and keep it there while you’re working out. The whole routine should only take about 40 to 45 minutes.
I make sure I’m constantly drinking lots of water to stay hydrated. I also stretch a lot each every day. Nothing too over the top—I don’t do yoga or anything—but I spend about 15 minutes every day just getting loose.
The physical part is really only half of it. So much of it is eating properly and getting good sleep. I don’t eat three big meals a day, but about five or six small meals to keep myself going. That way, I’m never really too hungry or full and my metabolism is in constant burn mode.
I make a point of including fresh foods and protein in every meal. For the most part, I am a vegan. In the mornings, I’ll have an acai bowl with spirulina, vegan yogurt, organic almonds. A bit later on in the day I have an Orgain protein shake and a vegan muffin for the carbs (brain food!) By lunchtime, I’ll eat a vegan burrito, soup and/or a big salad, veggie burger. Afternoon snack is more fruit or trail mix, organic chips and guacamole, sometimes a second protein shake. Most dinners for me are pretty straightforward: stir-fry over rice, pasta with a ton of veggies. I'm never hungry and always consume a healthy combo of vegan protein and carbs.
