Overview of the business need, compliance considerations, training request, solution, and tools
Business Need: Astronomika is returning to work in the office as we are nearing the end of the COVID-19 pandemic. This involves 30,000 employees across the US transferring from Working From Home (WFH) to working in the office. As a result of this, Astronomika needs a training course to inform all onsite staff about the new COVID-19 guidelines. This is so that Astronomika can stay in compliance with OSHA and employees can return and continue to work safely onsite.
Compliance Considerations: Astronomika requires its employees to understand, follow, and enforce federal guidelines from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), specifically (1) eliminating the hazard by separating and sending home infected or potentially infected people from the workplace, and (2) implementing physical distancing in all communal work areas.
Training Request: The client has requested training in two modalities: self-paced eLearning and instructor-led training.
Solution: After a needs analysis, Stellar Designs recommends training via a self-paced eLearning course or an instructor-led session conducted on-site or virtually. Both modalities will present COVID-19 safety measures, exposure risks, as well as Astronomika's quarantine and isolation policies. Both will include knowledge checks and end with a final assessment, of which 70% is the passing grade. Job aids will be provided to all participants to support awareness and compliance of the policies.
Tools: PowerPoint, Google Documents, Canva, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, Photoshop
Stellar Designs utilized the ADDIE framework to evaluate the business need, compliance and learning needs, and also considered the attitudes, resources, and environmental conditions that may impact the project.
This is a self-paced e-learning course created in Articulate Storyline.

The PowerPoint can be used for on-site as well as virtual training. The resource below is a PDF version of the PPT.
Please note that there are animations on some slides and you may see text overlaid on other text/images.
The facilitator guide is embedded in the PPT notes. The participant guide is a worksheet for participants to fill out during training.
An augmented reality job aid was created to link employees to useful website. Additional job aids were selected from the CDC's repository of publicly available infographics.
