Mentoring

Graduate Disability Support Group @ UC Irvine

I founded an informal group for graduate students with disabilities or chronic illnesses. This group is intended to build a community and also aims to make changes on campus. If you are interested in joining us, please reach out to me. In collaboration with Disability Services Center at UCI, we also organised a social for graduate and undergraduate students with disabilities.

DECADE Student Representative (2019, Logic and Philosophy of Science, UC Irvine)

DECADE stands for “Diverse Educational Community and Doctoral Experience”. As a student representative for the department, I organised a “Writing Therapy” workshop for graduate students.

Graduate Interconnect Mentor (2018, UC Irvine)

As a GIC peer mentor, I mentored 17 incoming international graduate students. This involved communicating with them weekly, blogging, leading and facilitating various sessions during Welcome Orientation, and providing the necessary support and directions for their individual needs.
