I have long been committed to inclusion, having personally experienced the barriers that women face in accessing STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) education and excellence. This is why, for more than five years now, I have been promoting STEM in general, and computer science in particular, to young females from high school and university.

A full list of my disclosure and dissemination activities can be found in the EDI section of my CV and on the Outreach section of this webpage. Among the most noteworthy activities I have undertaken to promote the diversity and inclusion of women in research, I can highlight the WiSe workshops.

Previously known as WoCC, WiSe is an annual workshop that introduces aspiring women scientists to the accomplishments of women in CS research worldwide. For one or two days, female researchers from prestigious universities present their work, offer tutorials on computing tools, and provide advice during a roundtable session. It is a unique opportunity for students to enlarge and strengthen their network, and seek internships and PhD offers.
