ARTIST STATEMENT

Conceptually rooted in ecofeminism and using art as therapy, Stella's artistic practice advocates for the recognition of Nature as a living entity, deserving respect and protection, while aligning with the ethos of service and speaking to our collective responsibility toward the planet and one another. The work examines the intersections of personal experience and broader societal constructs, such as consumerism, gender roles, romantic love, doctrines, and time. This perspective is intertwined with concerns for the oppressed—both human and non-human species—emphasizing the urgent need for equitable relationships within shared ecosystems.
