Every morning during the Seven Days of Kindness, teachers will have the opportunity to share heartwarming stories from Emmy Award Winning Journalist Steve Hartman who takes us On the Road to meet every day Americans who are spreading kindness.
Reach out to those you care about.
SCHOOL:
**Dress Down Day** Wear shirts with Red or Hearts to Share the Love!
Each class will decorate a poster focused on the different themes for Kindness Week with the help of Junior High leaders. The art will be displayed all around the gym windows.
HOME:
How will you share the love and warmth in your heart? Take time to reach out to those you care about. Maybe reconnecting with someone you miss. At meal-time go around the table and share what you love about each person.

Take time to broaden your worldview.
SCHOOL:
***Dress Down Day** Wear a shirt that highlights a different city, state or country. Share a fun fact about where you've been or where you hope to go. Together we can broaden our worldview to understand that we are more alike than unlike.
This afternoon we have an all school assembly where we will welcome youth leaders to talk about kindness and inclusion. Special guests include: Shamrock Crew, Seven Days Kindness Leaders, First Grade and their special video project.
HOME:
Spin the globe and find a new country or culture to learn about. Share 5 fun facts with each other.
Give of yourself to others. Learn about and embrace someone who is an "other" in your community.
SCHOOL:
Join the school community for mass at 8:30 am. All are welcome. We will honor Terri LaManno, St. Elizabeth class of 1975 and May Queen for her class. She was a victim of a hate crime in 2014. More about Terri >>
HOME:
Jesus reached out to the people in the margins. Who are the people in your community who may be considered outsiders? How can you learn about and embrace someone who is marginalized?
Seek connections with new people and gather together with family and friends.
SCHOOL:
STUCO will help kids "Mix It Up" and "Healthy Debates" at lunch.
HOME:
Invite someone new to dinner or reach out to a neighbor you have not interacted with • Call a family member you haven't spoken to in a while or schedule a family reunion via Zoom.
Take care of your mind, body and soul.
SCHOOL:
***Dress Down Day*** Wear your auction shirt and pajama bottoms. Bring a lovey and a blanket for movie time. Students will watch a movie centered on the themes of Kindness Week. Each classroom will also play Kindness Karaoke -- singing fun songs about changing the world and loving others.

HOME:
Join the STE Family Stroll on Sunday 4/26!
Families or individuals are invited for an evening stroll down the Trolley Trail. Meet at 5 pm in the parking lot at the NE corner of Wornall and Gregory. We plan to walk down to Meyer Boulevard, toward Brookside, and share conversation along the way. Email Ashley Heyburn for more information. Maybe you plan for dinner in Brookside at the end of your walk.
