Our lab is helping to train the next generation of scientists and warmly welcomes any student interested in experiencing research. There are deep inequities that exist in the scientific community (and society at large) and we all need to work to eliminate them. The best scientific advances and the most enjoyable research experiences happen in lab communities that are actively shaped by diverse backgrounds, experiences, and viewpoints. Therefore, we seek to foster an environment where all individuals feel accepted, safe, heard, encouraged, and respected. We welcome any interested undergraduate, regardless of background or confidence level. In addition, we have a zero tolerance policy for discrimination based on (but not limited to) race, ethnicity, sex, gender, sexual orientation, age, accent, and economic status.Â
