2020-present The GREENGO research project analyses Italy’s ability to strengthen its presence in the international market through green competitiveness, evaluating its drivers, impacts and future prospects. The project aims to measure green competitiveness across industries, evaluate its effects on growth and the environment, and propose policy measures to support sustainable development.

2020-2024 - Description: The EUFIRST research project, funded by the Luxembourg National Research Fund (FNR) (EUFIRST, n.13956644) and the Belgian Fund for Scientific Research (FNRS), aims to deepen our understanding of several crucial aspects: (i) the factors influencing natives’ attitudes towards trade and migration, whether hostile or positive; (ii) the specific determinants contributing to the rise of left-wing and right-wing populism; (iii) the political dynamics resulting from the entry or growth of populist parties and their impact on the traditional parties’ political agenda; (iv) the reverse causal effects of populism on the scale and structure of trade and immigration, leading to potential vicious circles. Main activites: Data collection, cleaning and empirical analysis.

2018-2019 - Description: Providing evidence on international knowledge diffusion induced by migration flows between MENA and EU regions, documenting the effects of migration on trade and comparative advantages, exploiting how the effect of migration on margins of trade varies according to different types of goods, classified by technological level.
