Coordinator, Erasmus Mundus Master in Economic Development and Growth-MEDEG (2009-2012)
Application (Memoria Verifica ANECA) for the creation of MADE (Master en Desarrollo y Crecimiento Económico) as a 1-year (60 ECTS) official academic master, bringing together faculty of the Economic History and Economics department (2009);
Creation of a consortium with the Universities of Warwick (UK) and Lund (Sweden) for a joint master programme (2009);
Application to EACEA (Education, Audiovisual and Culture Executive Agency of the European Commission) for a two-year (120 ECTS) Erasmus Mundus Master Programme in Economic Development and Growth (MEDEG), coordinated by UC3M, with first year at UC3M (MADE) and Warwick, second year in Lund, and a double master degree issued by the consortium universities (2009);
Chair of the MEDEG Joint Academic Committee (2010-2012): academic supervision and coordination of the programme; management of admissions and allocation of Erasmus Mundus Fellowships (800 to 1.000 annual applications); administration of the programme and reporting to EACEA.

Elaboration of the Agenda UC3M for Sustainable Development (2021), a medium-term plan for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) of the UN Agenda 2030 at university level. The Agenda promotes initiatives and actions in the area of education, research, management and engagement with the society aiming at “localizing” SDGs at university and community level.
Publication of the first UC3M Report on Sustainable Development 2019-21 (2022)
Participation of the UC3M in international sustainability rankings (THE Impact Ranking)
Collaboration with MASUS-Master in Sustainable Development and Global Governance in the design of parts of the programme, the identification of benchmark international experiences in education for the SDGs, the establishment of contacts and possible collaborations with foreign leading universities.
Representation of the UC3M in various university alliances that engage in the promotion of the SDGs agenda, including the University Global Coalition, a global alliance of higher education institutions in the USA, Europe and Asia, which promotes common learning, research and awareness initiatives; and the SDG group of YERUN (Young European Research Universities), a European alliance supported by the European Commission.
Institutional support to research on the SDGs by new interdisciplinary research groups, such as the Climate Strategic Initiative
Creation of a UC3M web page devoted to Sustainable Development.
OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES AT UC3M
Coordinator of last-year students' secondments ("Practicas curriculares") with firms and institutions, BA in International Studies and related Double Degrees (September 2025-to date): academic validation of secondment proposals; information to students and external tutors; evaluation of final reports.
Vice Dean for Academic Planning (Vice Decano de Ordenación Académica), Faculty of Social Sciences and Law (May 2015-October 2016): supervision of teaching planning for all Bachelor Degrees of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Law, including the campuses of Getafe and Colmenarejo.
Coordinator of Final Bachelor Thesis (Trabajo de Fin de Grado-TFG), BA Economics (2013-16): coordination of supervisors from the departments of Economics and Economic History (later Social Sciences); information to tutors and students; planning of final examinations (“defense”).
