Stefano Lord-Medrano

Welcome to my website! I am a sixth-year Ph.D. candidate in Economics at the University of Wisconsin–Madison. My research fields are international macroeconomics and time-series econometrics, with a focus on sovereign risk and macro-financial linkages.

I will be on the job market in the 2026–2027 academic year.

Prior to my doctoral studies, I worked as a financial researcher in the Financial Stability Division at the Bank of Mexico and earned a Master’s degree in Economic Theory from ITAM.
