Sensors-Diagnostics-Arduino Programming - Explore various sensors using diagnostic tools, Arduino boards and components and online virtual software to see the response of the sensors and feedback from various test circuits. In this workshop we will look at automotive sensors including thermistor type temperature sensors, bimetal thermal switches, variable resistance type sensors and an AC voltage generating sensor. The sensors include coolant temperature sensors, a manifold absolute pressure sensor, throttle position sensor and a vehicle speed sensor. Participants will learn how these sensors operate and how the response from the sensors can be used to generate visual or audible feedback in an Arduino circuit.
