Students of Bala Vidya Mandir enthusiastically participated in STEAMphony, an innovative and immersive interschool event hosted by the Middle Years students of Shiv Nadar School, Chennai, on 31st October. The event was designed to ignite curiosity and foster a passion for Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Mathematics (STEAM) among students of Grades 6 to 8 from various neighbouring schools.

STEAMphony 2025 featured ten exciting competitions, each integrating different STEAM disciplines in creative and engaging ways. Our students participated in seven events, namely: Science Showdown – a multi-stage science quiz, Shrink Ray Math – a challenge involving ratios and proportional reasoning to create a scaled drawing within a 10 ft × 10 ft space, Crafted from Chaos – recycled art competition, Clash of Minds – debate competition, Pandora’s Box: Waste to Wonder, Panel Pixels – comic strip design, and EcoEcho – extempore speaking event.

Our students showcased exemplary talent and creativity, bringing laurels to the school with their outstanding performances.

●       Shambavi Sharma, Uddhav Krishna, and Shravan Krishna of Class 8 won the First Prize in Clash of Minds (Debate). Additionally, Shravan and Uddhav received a Special Mention for their extraordinary speeches.

●       Varshini Vinod of Class 8 secured the Second Prize in EcoEcho (Extempore).

●       Nethra H, Tanmayi, and Dhiya S won the First Prize in Pandora’s Box: Waste to Wonder.

●       Arunitha and Sanjanasree bagged the Second Prize in Crafted from Chaos (Recycled Art).

In total, our students won 11 trophies across various categories. Competing among 18 participating schools, Bala Vidya Mandir proudly emerged as the Overall Champion School at STEAMphony 2025.

This remarkable achievement stands as a testament to the creativity, teamwork, and intellectual spirit of our students. Heartiest congratulations to all the winners and participants for bringing pride and glory to our school.
