I am trying to play a big VR game on my laptop through to my Oculus Quest 2. I'm connected to Oculus Link but for some reason I am getting an error from Steam. Apparently the initialization failed. It says 'Installation path could not be located (110)'. The game Is downloaded on a separate Drive (because it's quite big) while SteamVR is on my main C Drive. Not sure what I can do to fix this so any precise solutions step-by-step that don't involve me having to move the game over to my main drive would be highly appreciated. Including image to show.

It works even if I set DataAdvertisementType to ViaOnlineService. It works on 2 PCs on 2 different steam accounts, but I have not tested running the game over the internet with another PC on an another network.

2. There is a file in the game folder that needs to be there to satisfy steam. Its possible that file either got corrupted or deleted at some point. If you right click on the game in your steam library and select properties, you can click "Verify Integrity of game files" in the Local files tab. That will check to see if any files may be wrong and re-download them (although it will probably give you a warning about 1 file which is ok because its your configurations)

If that doesnt' work you can try completely uninstalling the game (including manually deleting the Dungeon Defenders 2 folder in the steam install location) and re-download. Let me know if any of that worked.

I have trouble starting some proton enables games in steam. Specifically Chess Ultra and Gorgogoa . Both are platinum according to ProtonDB and both have similar error messages, so maybe it is related.

I bought rebellion and for some reason when i start it it brings up an error box with the message "failed to initialize steam" i tried re-installing,logging,starting and nothing works. I had steam on all the time and even launched it from the games tab. I searched everywhere for a solution but i found nothing.

After I went from 1.42 beta back to 1.41 the game instead of launching threw in error: "The game filesystem failed to initialize, aborting now"

I reinstalled the game twice. The only things that work are either turning off real time protection in windows antivirus or writing down to launch options: -homedir "C:\Users\xxxx\Documents".

Though it's not a complete solution to my problem since I still can't use for example TruckersMP launcher because it throws the error at me again.

The second time I uninstalled the game I deleted all the files associated with ETS2 only backing up profile data on a different drive. I also fully uninstalled TrucksBook and reinstalled TruckersMP.

What should I do now?

Did you ever get this resolved? I just updated XPlane 12 and now I am getting this same error message that Xplane can't initialize Vulkan., This was running fine before I updated to the latest version. Any ideas?

Installing steam-native-runtime and letting steam reinstall proton solved the problem temporarily. Using steam-native-runtime is not recommended because it might break some games due to binary incompatibility and miss some needed libs.

I did it. But still have ownership error. I extract that patch in game folder. run steam first . And then luncher . Click on servers. And now rockstar social club showing me owner ship error. I replaced update.rpf version 1.36 too. Sitll have error . I try all rage mp clients files
