Guides & Tips
This one’s going to be short and sweet. Right to the point I’m going to be going over standard level clear. I’ll make a more in depth map per map, but this is a general guide that applies to all modes and all maps.
So here’s what you’re going to need:
Scientist Cameraman
Early Game Carry
Late Game Carry
Support Unit (Optional)
So first of all, scientist cameraman, one of the best towers in the game, and arguably number 1 depending on how you look at it. And it’s only a legendary, super easier to acquire. It's going be your money maker. Doesn’t it make a difference? Yes absolutely, it is the difference between 2 maxed out godlys at wave 40 and 10-15 at wave 40. The longer you take to max them out the more potential money you lose. You want sniper trait on them, it is the only viable trait in the game for them, it’s hard to get but doubles the money they give, making the game a bit easier.
Next is where it’s your choice on the specific tower, but early game carry, preferably AOE. This is going to be your set up tower. You’ll use it to clear early game enemies, while you max out your scientist. This can be a spotlight, a dj, a bazooka, or most preferred a firework bazooka. You typically want payday trait or if possible super payday on them, just for extra funds to max your sci cams faster. The best spot for these is typically going to be choke points, places like corners or intersections the enemies may cross. You usually won’t upgrade these all the way, just enough to finish maxing out your scientist, use your best judgment.
Next is gonna be your late game carry, this will decide which difficulty you’re doing if you’re not playing endless. Ask around and see what difficulty your tower can beat. This can be a godly, mythic, legendary, etc. Typically you want high DPS and if possible AOE. Preferably the best tower available to you. You’re gonna wanna end up with 15 max out on the map give or take and these will carry you through the mid and end game. You’re typical gonna want Master, Sniper, or Strength/Speed 3 trait to increase the DPS they do.
Next up is an optional one and it’s a support unit. This can be anything with a slow or ability that prevents enemies from moving forward, therefore increasing the damage your carry can do. Some of the best are secret agent, titan clockman, titan computer man, large spot light. A single large spot can pretty much double the DPS of all towers around it. You’re gonna want sniper trait to increase the range of their support wether it’s slows or an ability.
Now that you know what you need let’s discuss the actual plan, and again this applies to all modes and maps. The actual difficulty you play on is determined by your current inventory.
First off you’re going to put down your early game carry at a choke point (I recommend turning on auto skip to make the games faster, but it's the player's preference).
Next you’re going to start putting down and maxing out scientists (make sure to put them on the edge of the map away from the track to have more space for DPS). How you do this step is up to you as you’ll have to also balance leveling up your early game carry as you need to while maxing scientist. Don’t be afraid to put down a second early game carry if you need to.
Now once you’re scientist are maxed, should be between wave 11-16, you’re in the mid game. The first thing you’re going to do is put down a late game carry tower in a good spot near the entrance and max it out first, if it’s not AOE set it to target “strongest”. This is gonna speed up the round as you’ll begin to spawn trap the enemies at their base, ending the rounds quicker then if the enemies had to slowly go down the track to your carry.
Next throughout the mid game all you’re doing is distributing your late game carry tower around the map(more detail on this in a later guide) and maxing them out. Try to get them in choke points and close to the track to max out your DPS from them. If you want you can sprinkle in some support towers between your carries but don’t over do it, so you still have damage. I recommend max 4 support units around the map. Make sure their max range will barely touch another supports max range to get the most out of the slows or abilities in terms of map coverage.
Next you’ll be entering late game, which is the last 5 levels of a map. Or when you have max everything out, if you're in endless. What happens next depends on endless or normal maps. If you’re in normal maps, what your going do is some quick math to figure out when you can sell your 4 scientist and place 4 more of your carries then max them, then do just that when you get the money. If you don’t have everything maxed, like godly users, sell your 4 scientists on the last wave after they pay out and place down and max what you can. If your on endless once you max out other 11 units, same thing math till you have enough money to sell the 4 scientists and then place 4 DPS units make sure to do it one by one.
This is it, following this guide within your means(what your towers can clear up to) is all you need for the standard level clear or endless set up in Skibidi Toilet Defense. This is a basic run on the standard level clear/endless set up. Map, and even unit, specific guides will come out in the future. Hope this helped you and see you in the next one.
So this will be the first installment in the trading category, namely because the Value List will be a helpful guide to a lot of you to trading in the Skibidi Tower Defense economy. So before we get into trading let's understand the value list.
First and foremost the value list is a guide, not a bible, you don't have to follow it to the tee. It is simply an estimation from players experienced in the trade and the STD economy. Keep in mind it may not always be the most absolute pinpoint accurate thing in the world.
The value list is divided into sections to make things nice and neat and let you know which unit level you’re trading. Units are labeled either Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary, Mythic, Godly or Exclusive. Trait and Signatures will have their own separate guide.
With that out of the way, what is it? What do all the funny numbers mean? As stated above it is a guide to estimated values, demand, and price stability/instability. Let’s go down the list and talk about what it all means.
With that out of the way, what is it? What do all the funny numbers mean? As stated above it is a guide to estimated values, demand, and price stability/instability. Let’s go down the list and talk about what it all means.
“Obtainable:” - This will either be Yes or No. This means whether or not you can obtain the unit without having to trade. As in if the unit is obtainable through create rolls or by purchase with Robux.
“Stability:” - This will either be Increasing, Decreasing, or Stable. Increasing means the unit is value is rising as time goes on, this could be due to it becoming limited, a buff coming up, etc. Decreasing means its value is going down maybe a nerf or more pulls, etc. Stable means the price more than likely won't be going up or down soon. And will stay the way it is for a while.
“Demand:” - is simply an estimate of how many people want it between 1 and 10. The higher the number (10) the more people want it and vice versa, the lower the number (1) the fewer people want it. This may change as frequently as every update or never. Ex: 2.7K
“Value:” - refers to the unit’s value in in-game coin. This will change based on several factors. Ex: Value: 3.5K
First off, trading “W” is whatever you personally are looking for. Either Value, In Game Usefulness, or Personal Interest. These are the 3 things people trade for and everyone is trading for their own reasons. So deciding what you are looking for and what you are and aren’t willing to give for it are important when wanting to trade in game.
Terminology - So quick summary on some of the words and terms that are gunna be used in here:
W - a good or positive trade for you.
L - a bad or negative trade for you.
Grind/Grinding - playing multiple games in a row in quick succession to get either coins or gems.
Low Level Trades - Trading for low tier mythics and below.
Sweats - Players who try hard.
Scammers - Players who intentionally deceive other players to get towers out of them.
Add - To put more or better units up for a trade.
Auto Declined - When one player declines a trade with little to no talk or interaction.
Underpaying - Paying less than a unit's worth.
Overpaying - Paying more than a unit's worth.
Leg - Slang for legendary units.
Rolling - Slang for rolling unit creates.
Now let’s begin. So once you have a goal in mind from the above 3 mentioned, wither you want agent cause it’s valuable, or UTC with sniper for fast grinding, G Cam because funny little cameraman in as gold suit interest you, you can begin to trade.
Where do you start? Well there are three primary places to trade, in order from easiest to hardest:
The Lobby
The Trading Plaza
The Discord #Trading channel
Picking where you want to trade depends on what kind of a trading you're looking for and how smooth you want the process to go.
The Lobby: This is the main in-game place you load into. Usually filled with bacons looking for low level trades. You’re usually not gonna find any hardcore traders here and unless you're looking for a godly or high tier mythic, finding a trade should be relatively easy.
The Trading Plaza: Accessible from the main lobby through a portal, located next to the update board, where new units are shown. Where most players looking for a trade hangout, who aren’t in the discord. You can pretty much trade for anything here. It’s 50/50 what kind of players you’ll find here. Some will charge extremely steep prices, while others will be clueless as to what the value of anything in the game is.
#Trading in the discord: This is where a majority of the trading “sweats” are. Everyone here usually hangs out with the value list open and a calculator next to them looking for a big “W” with every trade they make. This is also the best option once you’re a bit familiar with trading and want the largest variety of players to trade with. Beware of scammer and hackers, as they may be present here.
Now that we know where to trade the big question everyone wants answered, is how do I get a W? The answer is simple and complicated. Short answer give them less than they give you. Being a basic guide we’ll dive deeper into that in another guide.
Now that we know where to trade the big question everyone wants answered, is how do I get a W? The answer is simple and complicated. Short answer give them less than they give you. Being a basic guide we’ll dive deeper into that in another guide.
Now some tips into accomplishing the short answer to get W’s:
Always overprice. This is for the simple fact that it's very rare someone’s going to take your first offer out the gate. Over pricing leaves room for negotiation. So that once yall do the back and forward talks of add or subtracting, you still end up with what you originally want, and the other party believes they got a better deal then originally intended. However don’t go too overboard, as you may get Auto Declined.
Always underpay. This goes vice versa to the last tip given. And it’s so once you add, you still end up paying what you originally wanted to in a trade. A good practice is to figure out what you want to trade for and how much you’re willing to give up for it, then use this to figure out how much you underpay before adding. Again don’t go to overboard and get auto declined on a good deal.
BE PATIENT. Everyone wants the newest units or best units right away so they can flex to their friends or general chat. But when you’re trading, being patient and knowing when to say no is an invaluable tool to getting richer and multiplying your inventory long term. Don’t overpay rushing to a unit, you could have gotten for half the price on the next trade.
Trade in multiple places at once. Once you got a warm and fuzzy on trading, it’s a time saver to trade in both the plaza and #trading in the discord, at the same time. This will increase the chances of finding a trade you like much sooner, then only trading in one at a time.
No one is entitled to a fair trade. As long as you aren’t lying or being deceitful, you can offer a g cam for a godly and if they willingly accept, it’s not on you. The value list and #W/L channel are available to everyone. There are Ls and there are Ws, prep work and some light research is the difference in which you get. If you’re the kind who likes to offer exact price match according to the value list, all the power to you, but if you are trying to raise your wealth in skibidi toilet defense, you need to start making W trades.
If you are unsure use the #W/L channel in the Discord. This is a public channel when people can post potential trades they are going to make and other users can vote W or L in real time. This can help you get an idea on wither or not you’re making a good trade if you’re still learning the basics or even if you know them but are still unsure.
Beware of scams. Some of the more notable ones: People offer certain units so you hit the accept button, then deselecting them and hitting accept to try and catch you not paying attention. People sending fake profile links on discord to get into your account, always add by name when trading on discord. People lying about stats or traits to try and get better units then something is worth, if you are unsure hover it in trade to manually check.
Multiplying your inventory. I always get the question, how do you have so many godlys? The answer is simple, multiplying your inventory. This is basically trading down and trading back up for better. A lot of players obey stuck in trading cause they only wanna trade up and never down so eventually the reach a point in which they don’t have the inventory to trade up for better anymore and get stuck. To get around this problem you trade a decent unit down for a W and trade the units you get for it back up for a better W. For instance, say I have a reaper I got for 2 glitches. I would trade the reaper down to someone for 4 glitches, then trade those 4 back up for 2 reapers. Now I have two reapers that I basically got for the price of one. This is just an example, but this is how you multiply your inventory. Rich players will do this on a larger level with godlys but it can work all the way down to low tier mythics and legs. There are players with barely 30 wins that do this with one godly they rolled and now they have 4-5. This concept can be really good for those who have terrible luck with rolling. Again patience is the key to this concept. Be patient, wait for good trades down, and then good trades up. This will help you get past that trading wall you’ll eventually hit.
