Cryptology is a rapidly growing topic that is gaining popularity among information scientists, particularly in activities related to networks, banking, mail, and information security.

The National Instructional Workshop on Cryptology (NIWC) 2024 will be held at St. Thomas College (Autonomous), Thrissur on 22nd to 24th of May 2024. Invited speakers from renowned organizations and academic institutions around the nation who are active in the field of cryptology will present at the event. The invited papers will cover all major topics of code based cryptography. With the help of this workshop, students from all around the country will be given the opportunity to learn about career opportunities in cryptology and related research. The purpose of this workshop is to systematically educate engineering and mathematics students as well as professors to the underlying ideas behind network security, cryptography, and other information security-related issues and applications. Students working in the field of cryptology and data security, users of cryptography products from various defence and security agencies, and developers of cryptography products from businesses and organisations across the nation are expected to make up the workshop participants' profile.

It is anticipated that the event will foster greater communication among researchers studying cryptology in the National Community. Additionally, it will introduce students and other workshop attendees to the most recent areas of research and development in data security and cryptography. The event will assist us in expanding our prospects for working with academic and commercial partners to carry out national projects in the fields of data security and cryptography.
