Since 1949, the St. Charles Jaycees have provided leadership development opportunities that empower the young professionals in our local community. Our chapter has nearly 70 members between the ages of 18 and 40.
Throughout the year, you might find us volunteering with local nonprofits like the Boys & Girls Club, MO Better Foundation, Marcy’s Project, or St. Charles County Library Foundation. Or sharpening our project management and fundraising skills while operating the beer booth at Riverfest. Other times you could see us enjoying dinner as a group at a local restaurant for our International Dining Club.

The St. Charles Jaycees are a local chapter of the Missouri Jaycees, the national organization JCI USA, and the Junior Chamber International (JCI). We are a leadership development organization for young professionals age 18-40.
Scout Adams
Recreation Program Manager | Outdoor Enthusiast | Adventure Seeker
Hi, I’m Scout Adams! I’m a Recreation Program Manager specializing in aquatics and special events, and I absolutely love what I do. Whether I’m organizing exciting community events or ensuring our aquatic programs run smoothly, my goal is to create unforgettable experiences for everyone.
This year, I’m beyond excited to serve as the President of the St. Charles Jaycees! I’m looking forward to a year full of growth, new opportunities, and making a positive impact in our community.
When I’m not working or planning Jaycees events, you can usually find me outdoors—deer hunting in the fall, hiking new trails, camping under the stars, or hitting the road for my next adventure. There’s nothing I love more than exploring new places and making memories along the way.
I’m all about balancing work and play, and I believe life is best lived by taking the road less traveled. Let’s connect and share our favorite adventure spots!
Logan North
As the perpetrator of this new board position, I was absorbed into the Jaycees in 2021 when wife Julia (Doctor) North (2.0) insisted I pour beer at Oktoberfest to support the Jaycees. Doing so allowed free membership into the organization, and a discounted rate to the end of year banquet if I joined the cult/club. Since 2021, I've played trivia, donated items, found new members, saved old members, lost old members, built gift baskets, supported veterans, made friends, established a Jaycees family, co-chaired the second largest fundraiser of 2023 and 2024 (with my beautiful, amazing, confident, supportive, structural, wife), maintained established community relationships, and encouraged others to be greater humans than myself.
Professionally, I am a Chiropractor in O'Fallon. I have the honor of helping to elevate the health of thousands in our community while providing positions to two wonderful office staff members.
For fun, I love connecting with my fellow Jaycees, sharing my whiskey knowledge (and library) with any who are whiskey curious, and exploring the Frisbee Golf courses around eastern Missouri. Throw in the occasional cigar and other late night activities, and we might be on our way to making memories we can't remember.
Julia North
I'm the other half of the Drs. North duo. I joined the group in March 2020 after finding the meeting location online, showing up to a meeting, watching a sibling battle unfold between the Wetters, and deciding that the group seemed like just the dysfunctional family I wanted to be involved in!
My leadership roles started when I was Secretary for my 4-H club circa 2000. Then I was voted in as either Secretary or Treasurer (I don't recall, it was a long time ago) for my High School Senior Year. More recently, I have served as the Director of Club Services for the Rotary Club of Cottleville/Weldon Spring in 2022-2023 when I also chaired the first annual Fun for Paws Rotary Dog Show. I have also served on the Board of the Academy of Midwest Chiropractors as Secretary for three years. In the Jaycees, I co-chaired the 2023 Oktoberfest committee. I have also been a pole vault coach for Fort Zumwalt East for 3 years, and honestly, managing High School athletes is the equivalent of herding cats and probably my most challenging but rewarding role.
For fun, I enjoy exploring my creative side through quilting, crocheting, making sourdough bread, attempting to garden, pole vaulting, snuggling my dogs and my fluffy jerk of a cat, and reading delightful books from just about every genre except for horror.
Matt Roeper
2024 VP Individual Development, 2024 MO State Chaplain, 2023 VP Community, 2023 VP Membership. I have been a Jaycee since 2020. I got involved with the Jaycees from a very close friend, Larry Jones. He would tell me all about the Jaycees, and brought me to a few events in Illinois. I wasn’t too sure what to expect but joining has been the best decision of my life. During my free time, I enjoy spending time with my dog Mya, watching or playing sports, and going to the gym.
Brittany Maloy
I joined the Jaycees end of 2024 and joined the board in 2025 as Community VP. In my professional life, I run the Waste Connections Sustainably Campus over in Maryland Heights, MO. I develop and carry out several free education programs for the community. My professional and Jaycee role align with the same goal of being there for our community. In my spare time I enjoy being outdoors, kayaking, camping, hiking, and really enjoying nature.
Veronica DeKruiff
2024 VP PR- Veronica is a Paralegal for The Fisher Law Firm. She has been a Jaycee member since 2017, serving on the board 3 times. While a Naperville Jaycee member, Veronica chaired the Special Events committee for The Last Fling, the chapter’s largest annual fundraiser. In her spare time, she teaches Color Guard to high school students and spends time with her friends.
Lydia Snowden
Treasurer 2024 and 2025. Hello! I joined the Jaycees in March 2022 after having attended a few meetings and working the Oktoberfest booth the year prior.
Before Covid hit the country, I had been searching for ways to give back to my community and volunteer. I renewed that search and was invited to join the St. Charles chapter. Not long after I became a member.
I came to volunteer, but found so much more. I found community and have met people that I will never forget. Growing and learning are important to me and the Jaycees push me to be my best self.
In my free time I like to pretend I'm a grandma with my knitting, sewing, other various fiber arts and drinking tea. I enjoy playing Diablo with my husband Brett, cuddling our two kitties, raising a garden and cacti.
Emily Romano
My name is Emily Romano. I have been a Jaycee for going on 4 years. I grew up in St.Paul and currently reside in Old Monroe. I love connecting with others across our state! I am on the state team this year as the Public relations and Impact program manager. My favorite event to attend as a jaycee is work weekend, where we go to Wonderland camp and help them with projects in order to help maintain camp.
Rachel Meyer
2025 IPP - Rachel Meyer has been a member of the St. Charles Jaycees since 2022. She’s been Membership VP (2023), Community VP (2024) and President (2024). She has also been Region Director (2024) and Chief of Staff (2025) for the Missouri Jaycees. Her favorite part of being a Jaycee is being able to connect with the community and make a difference. Also, the support to take a chance, especially with George’s Big Truck Collection.
Rachel is a stay at home mom of, now, two kids, George (5) and Lillian (newborn) and one fur baby, Bomber (7). She is married to her high school sweetheart, Nick. In her free time she loves to do all the things Jaycees, read books and spend time with her family and friends.
