St. Benedict’s receives most of its funding from the NSW Government’s Specialist Homelessness Services Program. The aim of the program is to provide accommodation and support for people who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness.
Donations from the wider community allow us to provide material assistance to people such as purchasing microwaves, medications, and transport to get to secure accommodation or health services.
Funding from ClubGrants assists us to run the kitchen to provide meals and other food services.
St Benedict’s has students completing work placements from the Canberra Institute of Technology Community Services Department and the Australian Catholic University School of Social Work.
