App: StatusSaver
Package: com.statusvault.saver

StatusSaver is an Android app that lets you view, save, favorite, share, and delete WhatsApp status images and videos that are already stored on your device. This policy explains what the app does with information on your phone.
StatusSaver does not create an account, and it does not send your photos, videos, or favorites to a server operated by the developer.
On your device, the app may access:
Status files already on your phone. After you grant storage access, the app reads image and video files from the local WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business status folders (the .Statuses cache). Those files exist only because you already viewed the statuses in WhatsApp.
Files you choose to save. When you download a status, the app copies that file into the app’s own gallery folder on your device (Pictures/StatusSaver in the app’s external storage).
Favorites. If you mark a status as a favorite, the app stores that file’s name locally so it can show it in the Favorites section. This list stays on your device.
The app uses those files and the favorites list only to provide the features you use:
Show statuses in a grid and in full-screen preview
Save a copy when you tap download
Share a file when you tap Share or the WhatsApp share button
Show and remove favorites
Delete a saved copy from the app, or delete the file from the device if you confirm that option
Sharing is started by you. The file is handed to the app you pick (for example WhatsApp or the Android share sheet). What that other app does with the file is covered by that app’s own privacy policy.
Photos, videos, and storage access (including All files access on Android 11 and later) is used to read the WhatsApp status folder, which Android does not expose through normal photo permissions.
Storage write access on older Android versions is used to save the copies you download.
You can revoke these permissions in Android Settings. If you do, the app cannot find or save statuses until you grant access again.
It does not collect your name, phone number, contacts, or messages.
It does not upload statuses or favorites to the developer.
It does not include advertising or analytics SDKs.
It does not sell personal information.
Saved statuses and the favorites list remain on your phone until you delete them in the app or uninstall StatusSaver. Uninstalling the app removes the app’s saved copies and favorites stored in its private app storage. Files you shared to other apps, or copies you placed elsewhere, are not removed by uninstalling StatusSaver.
StatusSaver is not directed at children under 13, and it is not intended to collect personal information from children.
StatusSaver is an independent app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by WhatsApp or Meta. Status content belongs to the people who posted it. You are responsible for how you save and share it.
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted at this page with a new effective date.
