Effective date: June 18, 2026
Welcome to StatusKit - Status Saver ("we", "our", "app"). We are committed to protecting and respecting your privacy.
1. Summary & Core Principle
StatusKit operates under a strict privacy-first model: we do not collect, store, transmit, or sell your personal data. The application operates entirely locally on your device. We have no external servers, we do not require user accounts, and we do not track your activity.
2. Data and System Permissions
To function correctly, StatusKit requests access to specific device systems. You control these permissions and can revoke them at any time in Android Settings:
Status Media Folder (File/Directory Access): You explicitly grant the app permission to read the WhatsApp and WhatsApp Business temporary status folders (using the standard Android storage directory picker). The app reads these files purely to display the statuses to you in the user interface. These files never leave your device and are never uploaded to any servers.
Gallery / Media Library (Write Access): When you choose to save a status image or video, the app writes that media file into your device's public storage under a dedicated folder ("StatusKit" album). This is done purely to save the media for your offline viewing.
Camera Access (Optional): Used only when you open the QR Scanner tool inside the app. Image stream data is processed locally on your device in real-time to decode QR codes. No image files or video recordings are saved, stored, or transmitted.
Biometrics (Optional): If you opt to use the App Lock feature, verification is handled securely by the Android operating system. The app never accesses, views, or stores your fingerprint or facial recognition data.
3. Third-Party Advertising & Services
To keep the application free, StatusKit shows advertisements served by Google AdMob. AdMob may collect and process certain device identifiers to serve and measure advertising. This data collection is governed by Google's privacy rules:
Google AdMob may collect your device's advertising ID, IP address (for approximate location), and ad-interaction logs.
You can view Google's Privacy Policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
You can manage, reset, or delete your Advertising ID in your device's settings: Settings → Privacy → Ads.
4. Data Retention
All app settings, preferences, and temporary cached files are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app or clearing the app storage in your device settings will permanently delete all data associated with the app.
5. Children's Privacy
StatusKit is not intended for use by children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect or solicit personal information from children under 13.
Disclaimer / Trademark Notice:
StatusKit is an independent utility application. It is not affiliated with, authorized, sponsored, associated, or in any way officially connected with WhatsApp LLC, Meta Platforms, Inc., or any of their subsidiaries or affiliates. WhatsApp is a registered trademark of WhatsApp LLC.
6. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by updating the "Effective date" at the top of this page. You are advised to review this page periodically for any changes.
