Hit City Hustle takes players on a journey into the underworld of a crime-ridden city. Each player assumes the role of a Handler serving Hit City’s crime bosses.
The Handler’s job is to recruit Hitmen, collect income, and assign targets for the Hitmen to whack. With each rival client eliminated, the Handler will earn victory points. Competition in Hit City can be deadly... make sure it’s someone else's neck on the line.

Hit City Hustle is a tabletop card game that requires strategy, memory, and a little bit of bluffing to come out on top. Players have only 2 actions per turn, so play goes fast. Players will move cards around in a field of nine, discover potential targets, position cards in their own hand, draw new cards, collect coins, and attempt to whack rival Clients to earn victory points.
There are only 2 kinds of cards in Hit City Hustle: Clients and Hitmen. Clients are recruited and used to earn coins. Higher value Clients can earn more coins, but are also worth more victory points to rivals. Hitmen are recruited and then paid to eliminate rival Clients. Higher value Hitmen are stronger, but more expensive to activate.
Clients that get whacked are worth victory points… so be careful! The cards that are in a player’s hand are vulnerable to attack.
Cards remain facedown for most of the game. This allows plenty of opportunities to bluff about the value of a Client or a Hitman. Bluffing allows bold players to get a leg up on the competition. However, rivals can call anyone’s bluff by paying a coin. Get caught bluffing and your action is forfeited.
Special rules on cards allow players to set traps, earn more coins, or whack clients that would normally be too tough to eliminate.
Once a player reaches 15 or more victory points, finish the round so all players have had the same number of turns. Finally, count all players victory points and whacked clients to determine the winner!
Here are some great features you can expect from our game:
Hit City Hustle is not without some recognizable game mechanics. Card drafting, take that, bluffing, memory, and resource management are all represented in the game. Luckily, not one of these mechanics dominates the other.
Strategies in Hit City Hustle are malleable and you can even switch strategies in the middle of a match without falling behind your opponents!
We're lucky to have commissioned professional artist and awesome guy, Pat Lewis, to do the character illustrations on Hit City Hustle. He did an amazing job, and we're looking forward to more illustrations once this project is funded!
