This Privacy Policy explains how Status Saver Video Download (the “App”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) handles information when you use our Android application available on Google Play. By using the App, you agree to this Privacy Policy and acknowledge our compliance with Google Play’s User Data, Data Safety, and Photo and Video Permissions requirements.
App name: Status Saver Video Download

Status Saver Video Download is a media utility app that allows you to:
View recent WhatsApp‑style image and video statuses stored on your device in a user‑selected folder.
Save selected statuses into your device’s public media folders (for example, Pictures/StatusSaver/ for images and Movies/StatusSaver/ for videos) using Android’s MediaStore APIs.
Share statuses with other apps via the Android system share sheet.
The App works entirely on your device and does not require you to create an account or log in.
What we access
Images and videos stored in folders that you explicitly select (for example, WhatsApp status folders and the folders where the App saves copies of statuses).
Why we access it
To read and display existing status images and videos inside the App.
To save a copy of a status to your gallery when you tap Save.
To let you share a status with other apps through the system share sheet.
How we access it
The App uses Android’s Storage Access Framework (SAF) and MediaStore APIs so you can grant access only to specific folders needed for the core functionality.
Important
All media processing (viewing, playing, and saving) happens locally on your device.
The App does not upload your images or videos to any server that we control.
Media files are only shared when you explicitly choose another app via the system share sheet.
The App integrates Google SDKs which may collect certain technical or usage data under their own privacy policies.
a) Google AdMob (advertising)
Purpose: To display banner and interstitial ads.
Data handled by AdMob (by Google, not directly by us) may include: Advertising ID, IP address, and general device and app interaction data for ad delivery, frequency capping, and aggregated reporting.
You can control ad personalization in your device’s advertising settings as described in Google’s privacy documentation.
b) Firebase Analytics
Purpose: To understand how users interact with the App and improve stability and features.
Data collected may include screen views, session duration, device type, and basic interaction events, associated with identifiers such as a Firebase installation ID or Advertising ID.
We use this data only in aggregated form for analytics and product improvement, not to build our own marketing profiles.
c) Firebase Crashlytics
Purpose: To report crashes so we can identify and fix technical issues.
Data collected may include crash logs, stack traces, app version, device model, Android version, and technical state at the time of a crash.
Crash data is used solely to diagnose and improve app reliability.
d) Google Play Billing
Purpose: To manage in‑app purchases and optional Premium subscriptions (for example, to remove ads or unlock features).
Google Play Billing provides us only with secure transaction status information (e.g., whether a purchase is active); we never see or store your full payment card details, which are processed by Google Play.
To function correctly, the App may request the following permissions (names may vary by Android version).
Photos and videos / Media permissions
Examples: READ_MEDIA_IMAGES, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO, or READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE on older Android versions.
Purpose: To read images and videos from the folders you authorize so the App can display, save, and share statuses at your request.
Internet access (android.permission.INTERNET)
Purpose: Required to load ads via Google AdMob, send anonymous analytics and crash reports via Firebase, and communicate with Google Play Billing for purchases.
In‑app billing (com.android.vending.BILLING)
Purpose: Needed to process Premium subscriptions and other in‑app purchases via Google Play Billing.
Permissions are requested at runtime and are used only for the purposes described above. You may deny them, but core features such as viewing or saving statuses, showing ads, or processing purchases may not work correctly if required permissions are disabled.
Data accessed by the App is used only to:
Discover and display status images and videos stored on your device.
Save a copy of a selected status to a public media folder using MediaStore when you tap Save.
Share a selected status to another app when you tap Share.
Measure app usage and crashes (via Firebase) and show ads (via AdMob).
We do not:
Sell or rent your personal data.
Use your local media files to build marketing profiles.
Upload your media files to servers that we control.
The App does not automatically share your media with other companies.
When you share a status, the file is sent directly from your device to the app you select (such as WhatsApp or another social app), and that app’s own privacy policy applies.
Technical and usage data may be processed by Google AdMob, Firebase Analytics, Firebase Crashlytics, and Google Play Billing as described above and in their respective privacy policies.
Saved statuses are stored locally on your device, typically in Pictures/StatusSaver/ for images and Movies/StatusSaver/ for videos, using MediaStore and scoped storage APIs.
The App does not automatically delete saved media; you can remove it at any time from within the App (if available) or using your device’s gallery or file manager.
We rely on Android’s built‑in security features and your device protections (screen lock, OS updates) to help safeguard data stored on your device; we do not keep server‑side copies of your statuses.
The App is intended for general users and is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children, and any media remains on the local device. If you believe a child is using the App and has privacy concerns, please contact us and we will provide guidance on removing the App and any saved content from the device.
Because the App does not use accounts or its own servers, most control over your data is handled directly on your device.
You can:
Grant or revoke permissions in Android system settings.
Delete saved statuses using the App (if supported) or your gallery/file manager.
Adjust ad personalization in your device settings.
Uninstall the App at any time, which removes the App and its local data (but not media you have saved into shared folders).
If you contact us about privacy or data, we will respond in accordance with applicable law.
The App can be used worldwide. We do not operate our own backend for this App, but third parties such as Google Play, Google AdMob, and Firebase may process data on servers in different countries under their own privacy policies and local laws.
The App is designed to comply with Google Play’s User Data, Data Safety, Health apps declaration, and Photo and Video Permissions policies. In our Play Store listing, we complete the Data Safety form to accurately describe:
What data types are collected (for example, device or other IDs, app activity, and crash logs).
How that data is used (app functionality, analytics, advertising, and purchase processing).
Whether any data is shared with third parties such as Google services.
If our data practices change, we will update both the Data Safety form and this Privacy Policy.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, provide notice in the App or on the store listing.
