Your privacy comes first

No account. No sign-in. No personal information is collected by Statista from you as an app user.

Bookmarked reports, app preferences, and the insights you browse are handled locally on your device. This page explains exactly what the app does and does not do with your data.

1. Our Commitment to Privacy

Statista is built to help you explore data insights, statistics, market reports, and industry trends with confidence. We designed this app so you can use these tools without creating an account, without signing in, and without sharing your personal contact details with us. Protecting your privacy is a core principle of this product.

2. Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit any of the following from you as an app user:

• Your name

• Your phone number

• Your email address

• Your home or mailing address

• Your date of birth

• Government identifiers (SSN, ID numbers, etc.)

• Photos, contacts, or camera data

• Precise GPS location

No sign-up, login, OTP verification, email verification, social login, or registration is ever required to use the app.

3. Information Stored On Your Device

To power your data insights experience, Statista stores the following locally on your device only (DataStore preferences):

• Bookmarked / saved report IDs

• App settings (such as dark, light, or system theme preference)

This information is not uploaded to our servers and is not linked to your identity as an app user. Data shown in the app remains on your device — we do not receive it as personal user profile data.

4. Local, On-Device Processing

Statista is designed for local processing. Core features — including the home dashboard, search, categories, report details, charts, favorites, and settings — run on your device using curated in-app content and locally stored preferences.

Your bookmarks and theme preferences are not sent to our servers for storage or processing. You can browse most app content without an internet connection.

An internet connection is only needed for displaying advertisements (see Section 6) and if you choose to open external links such as source URLs or help resources.

5. Data Display and Sharing

All statistics, reports, charts, and insights displayed in the app are provided from curated in-app content. If you share a report through your device’s standard share options, that sharing is handled by your device and the app you choose — we do not receive copies of shared content unless you explicitly send it to us (for example, by email).

You are responsible for keeping any exported or shared information secure.

6. Advertising

Statista displays advertisements through Google AdMob to help keep the app free to use. Ad formats may include banner ads and full-screen interstitial ads shown when you navigate between sections (such as opening reports or categories from Home).

Google and its advertising partners may collect and use information such as your device’s advertising ID, approximate location (derived from IP address), app interactions with ads, and technical device data to deliver, measure, and improve ads. This data is handled according to Google’s policies, not stored by us as a personal user profile.

You can limit ad personalization on your device through:

Android Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization

7. Third-Party Services

Core app features run on your device. The app does not send your bookmarks or theme preferences to external conversion or cloud services.

Google AdMob is used to serve advertisements. When you use optional actions such as sharing a report, rating the app on the Play Store, or opening a web link, those actions are handled by the respective platform or app you choose — not by Statista collecting additional data from you.

8. Cookies and Tracking

The app itself does not use browser cookies. We do not operate our own analytics or cross-app tracking services within Statista.

Advertising partners (such as Google AdMob) may use identifiers permitted by your device and Android settings to measure ad performance. We do not build personal profiles about you based on your in-app activity beyond what is required for ad delivery through AdMob.

9. Network and Permissions

The app requests only the permissions it needs to function:

• Internet access — required for loading and displaying advertisements through Google AdMob

• Network state — used to check connectivity for ads

We do not request access to contacts, camera, calendar, SMS, microphone, biometric authentication, or precise location. There is no sign-in or account permission prompt when you open the app.

Your locally stored bookmarks and preferences remain on your device during normal app use.

10. Data Security

Because we do not collect personal information or account credentials from you as an app user, there is no personal login profile that can be compromised on our servers. Your bookmarks and preferences remain on your device unless you explicitly share content outside the app.

App preferences are stored using DataStore on your device. You can clear all locally stored data at any time through your device settings.

11. Children’s Privacy

This app is intended for users interested in data insights, statistics, and market research. It is designed as an informational analytics utility and does not require personal information from children or adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.

12. Your Choices and Rights

Because we do not collect identifying information about you as an app user, there is no personal account or profile to delete on our side. You can fully reset your app data at any time by uninstalling the app or clearing app storage:

Settings → Apps → Statista → Storage → Clear storage

Uninstalling the app removes all locally stored bookmarks and app preferences from the app’s private storage area.

13. Changes to This Policy

If this policy is updated, the revised version will be available within the app on this screen. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.
