We are deeply grateful for the overwhelming support and interest from members of the Southwest Florida community who wish to donate their time and skills.
Due to the highly sensitive nature of our mission, which involves supporting unaccompanied, displaced, and homeless youth, Scattered Stars maintains strict safety and operational protocols to ensure the utmost protection and confidentiality for every student.
Therefore, adult (18+) volunteer opportunities are currently handled exclusively through formal partnerships and pre-approved programs with local institutions, such as the Sarasota and Charlotte County School Districts.
Scattered Stars does not currently facilitate independent adult volunteer applications.
All adult involvement must comply with rigorous established partner guidelines, including formal screening, mandatory background checks, fingerprinting, and specific training protocols required by the school districts and other youth-serving agencies.
We encourage adults interested in supporting our mission to consider ways to partner with us through financial contributions, donating essential resources, or helping with remote, non-client-facing tasks.
Thank you for understanding that our commitment to student safety and compliance is our highest priority.
