Prompt: Famous Irish playwright Oscar Wilde once wrote the famous line, "Memory is the diary we all carry about with us" (1985). Renowned English poet William Wordsworth agreed, proclaiming that "When thy mind / shall be a mansion of all lovely forms, / Thy memory be as a dwelling place / For all sweet sounds and harmonies" (1798). In that light, carefully reflect on what memories mean to you. Create a submission that encapsulates your perspective on memories.

The Starscape Team understands that a strict deadline causes immense stress. Therefore, we have agreed to post low-stake check-ins throughout the event and establish a 2 - 3 week non-penalizing, late submission window past the pre-determined deadline.

If you find yourself struggling at any point with the creative process, please feel free to reach out to our friendly Starscape Support Team! We would love to help you or provide accommodations. Accommodations will be reviewed and provided on a case-by-case basis.

Over the course of this event, The Starscape Team will distribute clues/puzzles/ciphers relevant to The Starscape ARG in our many stories, graphics, mini-games, and message wall descriptions. Be on the look out for those! You might find the ARG interesting, and there will be ways in which you can influence how this story goes!

Our judging process consists of three rounds. The first round will consist of assigning and gathering scores, the second round will consist of group discussion and debate, and the third round will have each Prize-Bearer make an informed decision for a winner based on all the information consolidated in the previous two rounds. Your position on the leaderboard matters, but it isn't the sole determinant of whether you're selected as a Starscape prize-winner or not!

This year, as a Starscape competitor, you can choose to either (1) compete independently or (2) compete alongside another randomized participant who also chose Option 2.

Option 1: Maximum of x2 Total Submissions (Writing + Art, Art Only, or Writing Only)

Option 2: Maximum of x4 Total Submissions (Writing + Art, Art Only, or Writing Only)

You must have at least 200 + posts to join Starscape (open to exceptions).

Each Starscape contestant is allowed up to a maximum of two total submissions. Each submission must come with a title and description. Submissions must be turned in to our Wiki submission box in the proper format.

Your submissions must be somewhat related to The Dragon Adventures franchise.

Using Generative AI or copying off of someone else's work is prohibited.

Using alt accounts to gain an advantage is prohibited.

Abide by Wiki terms of service.

Be courteous to your fellow competitors.

Participants retain full ownership of their submissions. The Starscape Team does not intend to use your submissions in any way without giving you credit or asking you for permission.
