People say it's just a horse.
That horse is a best friend, a teacher, and one of the best things that had ever happened to me.
That horse is my life, my love, and my soul mate.
No matter what, it's not just a horse.
It's a part of me and made me who I am today.

You were the first horse I ever shared a true connection with.
You were the first horse I ever truly loved.
You were a blessing I never knew I needed.
You made me work for your trust, and we became best friends till the end.
I will always love you, from your expressive ears to your faded snip to your odd fast trot.
So thank you Naz. I will cherish the hoof prints you left on my heart forever.
And thank you God for knowing exactly what I needed.

Sweet Mallie, the happiest, Lab in the world who wore the biggest smile! Mallie who I so lovingly referred to as Piglet, was my barn best friend. And a friend to many! It was never a trip to the ranch unless she meets you in the driveway with a big smile matched by an even bigger tail wag. I was thankful to have her by my side for the past few years no matter if I was riding horses, teaching lessons or even just watching the sunset over the pasture. Everyone knew that no matter where I was, Mallie was close by. I will forever be grateful for the bond that we shared, thank you Mallie being a girl's best friend.

Called Starry Meadows Home
I am so grateful for the time we shared together - for all the trail rides, the countless hours spent riding in the pasture, and the adventures we took beyond the gates of Starry Meadows.
Though you often had the biggest attitude, you also had the biggest heart. You taught me not only how to be a better rider, but also the importance of patience and trust. There wasn’t a day I left the barn without a smile on my face.
Thank you Sister, for showing me just how strong the bond between a girl and her horse can be.

How we obtained Sister as one of the Starry Meadows herd, is part of her legacy and abundance that Sister provided us throughout her life.
She always had more to give. Sister was a gift to our daughter Erin from the owners of a breeding farm we use in Zavalia, Texas. The owners had “adopted” Erin as their granddaughter and when we were relocating back to Michigan, they gave Sister to her.
But like always, with Sister she always gave you more than you could imagine. The more in this case was she was pregnant with Sultan who became our Stallion. He was the father of 6 horses. Two of which are part of today’s herd at Starry Meadows.

When you see the sunset, think of me.
When the cool breeze touches you, know I am free.
When you feel the sorrow of us being apart,
Know I am not lost; I am a part of your heart.
