"Starry Meadows has been a true joy for my family to be a part of. Jeff and Tricia have created an amazing family-friendly atmosphere where riders of any skill level can thrive and enjoy the beauty of horsemanship. The horses very clearly well trained, well cared for, and truly loved by owner and trainers alike. Jeff does a wonderful job of matching rider to horse with appropriate skill levels to help assure that you will love “your” horse as well. I have had the pleasure of working with a few trainers at the barn and each of them has shown a passion for teaching and connecting with both horse and rider and dedication to ensuring each lesson is engaging and enjoyable. One of my favorite things to do is trail riding and Starry Meadows does not disappoint on this front either! There are many acres of beautiful trails which I have enjoyed peaceful rides in, including a recent one with my 9-year-old Granddaughter…..her very first trail ride ever. There is a sign as you enter the driveway that reads, “Enter as Strangers, Leave as Friends” and I must say that it could not feel more true. Thank you, Jeff and Tricia, for having such a warm and inviting atmosphere! I absolutely love every second I get to spend at the barn."

"I have never made this much progress and more importantly, had this much fun, in my horseback riding. My main difficulty with my riding has always been my fear and my lack of confidence. Starry Meadows has a very therapeutic environment that not only allows me to enhance my riding technique, but has helped me to build my confidence and move past any mental challenges that I have had about riding"

"I love riding horses at Starry Meadows. Jeff is such a good trainer and very patient with the rider. I was brand new at riding, and he taught me everything I needed to know to ride on Freeze. After checking a few places out Starry Meadows is very knowledgeable on horses and takes their riders seriously. Tricia has been very easy to get a hold of with scheduling the rides. She makes sure they don’t overlap each other and you get your full time with the trainer and the horse. My experience has been great, and I am excited to continue my love for horse riding at Starry Meadows."

"Starry Meadows has been the greatest experience for my daughter Claire! She has been riding there for several years. Jeff and Tricia have become her family, and their ranch has become her retreat. She has been able to truly find herself here! I can speak enough of their generosity, love and support of my daughter. If they are not careful, my daughter may just move in."

“My children, ages 6 and 3 have been attending lessons at Starry Meadows and have become so attached to their horse and they so look forward to their lesson time! Our goal was to increase their confidence around horses and to gradually grow their skills-Starry Meadows has done just that. They are becoming more confident and they are also learning how to respect the horse, we highly recommend that you ‘experience it’!

"You might be suprised, I don't ride horses. I love the beauty, power, and grace a horse possesses. I thoroughly enjoy watching horses interact with each other as a herd, and how they communicate with humans. I often describe this experience as sitting and watching a fish aquarium. You can stare at it endlessly and the feeling is amazingly calm and therapeutic. I am the one behind the scences helping to manage the schedule, social media, feedback and the paperwork. I look forward to meeting with you and helping to enrich your ranch expreince.
"My greatest desire is to share the ranch and my deep love and respect for horses with you. I was first introduced to horses as a young boy and they have captured my heart since then. I have owned horses for 30 plus years and ridden over a thousand miles on a horse. My specialty is horse care and ownership, trail riding, and horse behavior. If your goal is to someday own or lease a horse then I can help you experience it".
"Loving horses has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember. As a kid, I always chose to play with toy horses instead of dolls. Growing up, my excitement to be an equestrian only increased. Over the past four years, I have had the privilege of learning under skilled instructors while increasing my knowledge in riding. I am eager to share my passion with others who hold that same excitement.”
"Since the time I was a little girl and experienced the relationship between a rider and a horse I was hooked. I rode from the time I was 6 till about 8. It didn’t matter if I was actively riding or not I was always so intrigued by their beauty and missed the sport. In 2021, I got back into riding and my love for the sport continues to grow! The experiences that I have had at Starry Meadows have been wonderful, from their gorgeous facility to hands on care! I hope to help many others experience it as well"!
"For as long as I can remember, I loved horses. I started riding at a young age, there weren't many horse farms around where I grew up. Whenever we traveled, I always made sure to ask if I could find a place to go on a trail ride. Eventually we found a horse farm near us and I started taking lessons, but COVID hit and I had to stop riding. We moved to the country the next year and my mom and I started searching for farms. We found Starry Meadows. It has been such a blessing from God and answer to prayer that I am able to ride and learn at Starry Meadows! I've always wanted to work with horses, and thanks to God and Jeff and Tricia, I'm able to live my lifelong dream".
"For as long as I can recall, I have had a passion for horses. But it wasn't until I was 10 that I had my first ride. I ended up falling off, but that didn't keep me from riding. A few years later I got my own horse and started competing in speed events. I have learned there is a great respect you need to have for these beautiful creatures, and when you can communicate, it makes an amazing team. I look forward to having horses in my future, but for now I cherish every minute I can get".
"My name is Kate Boyea and I have been riding horses for 12 years. I have loved horses ever since I was a little girl. Throughout my childhood, I spent hours at the barn riding and doing barn chores. Even when I was not at the barn, I was playing with Breyer horses and teaching my dog how to hop over jumps. As I got older, I volunteered at horse camps and helped teach young children the basics of riding and horse care. Not that I am a kindergarten teacher, I am excited to combine my two biggest interests!"
"As a young girl I always dreamed of having horses. I was very lucky to have friends that had horses and rode with them. In my teenage years I would help care for horses so I could ride. After college, I started my first job in TX and my dream came true. I bought a Palomino Quarter horse “Star”. My love for horses continues every day".
"Every Christmas growing up, for as long as I can remember, I asked my parents for a horse. In fact, every Christmas that comes around, I am now asking my husband for a horse. I rode horses from the age 11 until I was 16. At that point I had made a decision; a decision that I thought I had all of the control over. I went away to school, worked on buidling a career and grew my family. I put horses in the past. One day, a couple years ago I was stopped in my tracks. God was speaking to me and I had been ignoring it. I had a sense of incompleteness, a sense of running away, a sense of avoidance. I knew that, for whatever reason, I had to face that feeling and run toward the very thing I had been running away from for so many years.
Fear is like anxiety. Anxiety grows bigger and scarier and becomes harder to manage, the more you try to push it away, the more you try to pretend it's not there. Well, fear is the same. Fear grows every time we avoid it, every time we run from it, we pretend it isn't there. Allow yourself to confront your fear, allow yourself to connect with another living creature in an unconditional way; because when you tell yourself that you can't conquer something, horses present the truth".
