Participant parking is located on side streets or in city parking lots, not in the staging area. There is a
large parking garage located next to Memorial Park which is located at 340 F St.
Participant drop-off is located behind the Superior Court Building on Garrett Avenue. This is only for participant drop off. It is near 505 Garrett Avenue.
Portable restroom facilities will be located throughout the staging area. Locations will be on 3rd Avenue and
H Street, both sides of 3rd Avenue.
Route is approximately one-mile long. Official start is located at 3rd Avenue and H Street and continues straight on 3rd Avenue and ends at E Street at 3rd Avenue near the Bank of America building.
The reviewing stage will be in Memorial Park, at the Holiday Tree stage. This area will be posted.
Our goal for parade entries is to be as entertaining as possible. We want to see colorful costumes or
uniformed attire, drill or dance routines, floats, push floats, well-decorated vehicles, and lights!

Per The Starlight Parade: While the Starlight Parade cannot guarantee exact start times, they recommend arriving well in advance to ensure we are prepared. If we are not in the order of our assigned spot when the Parade leaves the start line, they will not be able to sub us in due to script and judging information.

Judges on the Left side of the Parade - The reviewing stage will be in Memorial Park, at the Holiday Tree stage. This area will be posted.

Perform for Judges: approximately 30 seconds
JUDGING / TV AREA is located on Memorial Park right next to the Christmas Tree. Units are required to perform along the entire parade route. All routines must be executed in forward motion. Stopping to perform along the parade route is prohibited, including in the judging area, as it can cause “gaps” to form between units and stops the parade behind you. ANY UNIT THAT DOES NOT FOLLOW THIS RULE IS SUBJECT TO A JUDGING PENALTY, UP TO AND INCLUDING DISQUALIFICATIONS.

End Parade on E Street and 3rd Ave - turn left on E Street. Disband is between 3rd
Avenue and 4th Avenue. Buses will be parked curbside. Participant pick-up will be near the corner of 4th Avenue and E Street
7 PM
Release dancers to parents - Please DO NOT leave with your child until you have checked out with CADS staff. We need to account for every participant.
Staging Streets will close at 3:00pm. Traffic is expected to be heavy going into the downtown
area. Give yourself plenty of time to arrive. Use your vehicle pass to enter staging areas.
North of E Street at the corner of E St and 3rd Ave
Check out with a CADS staff member: each dancer must be accounted for. CADS staff can not go home until every dancer is accourately accounted for.
NO THROWING or PASSING OUT OF ANY FAVORS OR LITERATURE FROM PARADE ROUTE
NO BACKPACKS ALLOWED AT THE PARADE.
DO NOT LEAVE BAGS, BOXES OR EQUIPMENT ON THE STREETS OR IN PARKING LOTS.
All participants must appear in costumes or uniformed attire
We strongly encourage you to incorporate the holiday theme into your entry.
Staff or assistants accompanying the unit must be limited in numbers and properly attired.
This is a family friendly event. All entries must appear appropriately
Respect all parade monitors, marshals and volunteers
Adult supervision is required for children under the age of 12. At least one adult escort for every 10 children
Only a significant act of nature will cancel the parade, of which all entries will be notified.
