Winter's Waltz: A Pro-Am Art Exhibition

December 15th-17th, 2023

 Application Deadline: November 30th, 2023

We are excited to invite visual artists of all ages to submit work for consideration in the upcoming “Winter's Waltz” art exhibit hosted by the Hardin County Schools Performing Arts Center (The PAC) in conjunction with The Dance Centre's, The Nutcracker Ballet. The works selected for the exhibit will be on display in the PAC Gallery for the duration of that production.

Theme: The Magic of the Season

The winter season and The Nutcracker Ballet dance through, and are often associated with, themes of nostalgia and the magic and wonder of childhood. 

 Artists may interpret these themes through various visual mediums and can choose to depict them literally or metaphorically. 

Eligibility

• Works must be original, two or three-dimensional, and ready to hang or display. 

• Overall dimensions may not exceed 72 inches in height or width and must not exceed 25 pounds.

• Artwork containing nudity, offensive or obscene content, or profanity will not be considered.

Submission Details

• Artists are welcome to submit up to three entries for consideration by November 30th, 2023.  

• There is no submission or participation fee.

• Artists may only apply for entry via our online submission form. 

• Artists may submit digital images of their artwork in either JPEG, GIF, PDF, or PNG formats through the online submission form

• Artists may indicate whether their artwork is for sale via our online submission form.

• Potential buyers' contact information will be shared with the artist following the exhibition's close. The PAC will not take any commissions on sales. 

• Artists will be notified of acceptance to the exhibit via email.

•  Appointments for delivery and pickup will be arranged via email or phone.  Please provide accurate contact information.

• Even if sold, artwork must remain in the exhibit throughout the Dance Centre/The PAC's stage production of The Nutcracker Ballet (December 15th-17th).

• We will only accept digital images of submitted artwork for consideration through our online submission process. These images will be retained and may be used for future marketing purposes.
