Independence Day

Stanland declared independence on 25 March, but it was still named Emtopia at that time. It only took 10 days to change the flag and the name to Stanland.

Battle at Og Island – 2 April 2025

The first battle at Og Island was a very bad day for us. We tried to take over the island, but we didn’t accomplish much. In the end, we surrendered.

The 313 Incident – 23 August 2025

The 313 incident is the worst event in our country’s history. From Encore Island, we went to Og Island because something had gone overboard. We docked the boat, but a branch stuck out and pierced the boat. When we tried to leave, the boat sank and broke apart.

The Boat Fight on the Canal – 19 July 2025

The day before the 2025 boat battle, Stanland was practicing, but they secretly attacked Og Island. During the attack, a soldier from Og Island jumped onto the boat. A fierce fight broke out on the boat as both sides tried to push each other off. Eventually, they both returned to land.

The Big Boat Trip

This boat trip was to a new island, to a body of water where we had never been before. The journey was 0.33 km.

The Great Switch – 19 September 2025

The president of Og (Elias Boevink) signed a treaty and went to Stanland, taking five soldiers with him. This caused almost every soldier to want to go with him, single-handedly ruining the country.

The Tent Event – 30 September 2025

On the day Stanland slept on the island, the best boat with the greatest history sank because of a 313-type incident. A new boat was acquired very quickly, and everyone was evacuated from the island.

The Day of the Canal – 11 December 2025

On December 11, 2025, we attempted to attack OG Island again. Half of the people went north to the SZC point, and the rest immediately moved toward Inren, the capital of OG Island.

There, the Battle of Inren began, involving the Free People’s Republic of Inren. They defended the Inren Tower in the capital and tried to convince Stanland to reform Fortopia, the old and decaying empire. When a Stanland general explained how bad Fortopia had been, Stanland continued the attack.

They captured the Inren Tower in about 10 minutes and gained full control of Inren within 20 minutes. During the attack, Stanland dropped a bomb (a water balloon) on Centeria, ending the battle between the Canal Tribe and OG Island.

In Everia, the western province of OG Island, the other half of the forces advanced quickly through the Canal Tribe and Everia, but briefly stopped before Centeria and Everia Beach. When both halves met, they climbed the Centeria Tower and raised the Stanland flag. Stanland won after one year of conflict.

The rest of the day was spent celebrating in Stanland, while Centeria and Everia Beach were cleaned and the Inren Tower was repaired. Transport between Encore and Marshall Island was reopened, and the 313 incident memorial was moved to 313 Beach.

The Start of the Great Winter War – 21 December 2025

The Great Winter War started on December 21, 2025, when the Ice Tribe and the Union of Reunification declared war on Stanland. Stanland sought allies and formed the International Winter Pact with more than 100 micronations. The main members were Stanland, Mollosia, Mobeyland, the S.N.P.D. of Wræmberland, and Eggtopia. The war lasted until January 25, 2026.

The Crossing on Encore – 27 December 2025

On December 27, 2025, the ice froze over, and the Ice Tribe attempted to attack Encore Island but were quickly stopped near the coast. Stanland also restored peace to Encore Island after uprisings against the government.

During the return journey, the Stanland army realized the ice had become too thin to cross back. Many people tried to return and were seriously injured. They remained there for another 30 minutes until they were rescued by boat.

The Attack of Huis der Boevink – 3 January 2026

On January 3, citizens of Stanland built a snowman named Bob. When Bob was left unsupervised, he was “assassinated” by the Ice Tribe, who took his house and the House der Boevink. The Stanlandic military moved north and retook the land by storm. The attack lasted 30 minutes.

Emperor Julian – 26 January 2026

On January 26, 2026, the leader Julian Boevink declared himself Emperor of Stanland.

The Discord Raid – 20 Febuary 2026

At 00:12, a mass Discord raid targeted several micronations. Three servers were invaded:

• Warrania

• Micronational Olympics

• Intermicronational Union

At 01:04, Stanland was reportedly named as the next target. The government immediately declared a national Discord lockdown.

After approximately 20 minutes, no attack occurred, and the lockdown was lifted.

The Canal Travel 00254-2 March 2026

On 2 March 2026, a boat journey took place within the Great Stanlandic Empire between Huis der Boevink and Encore Island. The vessel carried two individuals: a four-year-old girl and one Stanlandic soldier.

During the journey, they discovered a leak in the side of the boat. For safety reasons, the child disembarked. The soldier altered the planned route in response to the situation. After reaching land, the soldier sustained a leg injury, reportedly caused by a large scratch across the leg.

The incident was later recorded as Canal Travel 00254 in Stanlandic accounts.

Camp Bob Brick Incident- 9 March 2026

On 9 March 2026, an incident occurred at Camp Bob, a location associated with the Great Stanlandic Empire. An unknown person threw a brick at the playground area of the camp.

The brick struck a slide on the playground, causing a large hole in the structure and damaging the equipment. The individual responsible for the act was not identified.

FMP Drama- 13 March 2026

On 13 March 2026, political tensions arose within the Friendly Micronation Pact (FMP) following actions by Meflagi against the state of Kreativa. Shortly after the attacks against Kreativa, the Great Stanlandic Empire unexpectedly withdrew from Microvision 2026, an event connected to the Frienly Micronation Pact. A few minutes later, the Emperor of Stanland released a statement declaring that he did not wish to compete or cooperate with Meflagi again because of what had been done to Kreativa.

Religious Discord Attack- 21 March 2026

On 21 March 2026, the Discord server of the Great Stanlandic Empire was targeted in a large-scale raid. During the incident, numerous messages containing anti-Jewish and anti-Christian content were posted.

At the time of the attack, moderators were not active, allowing the raid to continue for a period before action was taken.

Following the incident, the Emperor issued a public apology and implemented improved security measures and moderation systems to better protect the server from future attacks.

LGBTQ+ Rights Declaration- 24 March 2026

On 24 March 2026, the Emperor of the Great Stanlandic Empire signed a document granting rights to the LGBTQ+ community within the nation.

Independence Day Party- 25 march 2026

On 25 March 2026, the Great Stanlandic Empire celebrated its first anniversary of independence. The celebrations began with the consumption of the national dish alongside the Imperial Family. Following this, the Emperor delivered an official speech, which was recorded and made publicly available. The event concluded with a fireworks display, marking the end of the anniversary celebrations.

Capital Election- 31 March 2026

On 31 March 2026, the leadership of the Great Stanlandic Empire held an election to determine the nation’s capital after the Emperor and the royal family were unable to reach a decision. Four locations were nominated as candidates:Herania, Marshall Island, Huis der Boevink, Encore Island, The election lasted approximately five hours and was conducted both online and in person. Online results: Marshall Island – 0 points Huis der Boevink – 2 points Herania – 3 points

In-person results: Encore Island – 2 points Marshall Island – 2 points Herania – 2 points Huis der Boevink – 4 points

Based on the combined outcome, Huis der Boevink was elected as the new capital of Stanland.

April Fools’ Event- 1 April 2026

On 1 April 2026, during April Fools' Day, the Great Stanlandic Empire carried out a satirical announcement as a joke.

As part of the event, Stanland temporarily “rebranded” itself as a communist empire, changed its flag, and jokingly “declared war” on the Democratic Republic of Satoshi.

After several hours, the Emperor clarified that the announcement was purely a prank and stated that such actions would not occur in reality.

Rocket League Canal Cup 26- 3 April 2026

On 3 April 2026, the final of the Canal Cup 26, a Rocket League tournament, was held between the Great Stanlandic Empire and Og Island.

Prior to the final, Og Island defeated Encore Island with a score of 9–4 in a qualifying match.

In the final, Stanland opened the scoring early, taking a 2–1 lead within the first minute. During the second minute, Stanland scored three additional goals, while Og Island scored twice, bringing the score to 4–3 in favor of Stanland.

Over the remaining minutes, Stanland added three more goals, securing a 7–3 victory and successfully becoming champions of the Canal Cup 26.

Satoshi In-State Visit- 6 april 2026

On 6 April 2026, the Emperor of the Great Stanlandic Empire conducted an official in-state visit to the Democratic Republic of Satoshi.

During the visit, diplomatic talks were held between the two nations, focusing on relations and cooperation. The visit also included a formal gift exchange and a trade ceremony, marking a step forward in diplomatic engagement between Stanland and Satoshi.

Duck birth- 9 april 2026

On 9 April 2026, a group of 14 ducks was born in the canal region of the Great Stanlandic Empire.

The ducks were named by members of the government, reflecting their cultural significance within Stanland. The names given were: Sofian, Sild, Julian Jr., Silia, Jispin, Anthony, Leva, Lava, Vik, Lucas, Casper, Stan, Stania, and Kevin.

The 798 Incident- 11 April 2026

On 11 April 2026, a major naval incident occurred within the Great Stanlandic Empire involving the vessel Boat 798, considered one of the strongest units of the Stanlandic naval platoon.

The boat, carrying five people including the Emperor, a boatman, and three others—departed from Houtsland on a test mission across the Reeuwijkse Plassen.

The first two hours of the journey proceeded without issue. However, weather conditions soon worsened, with increasing rain and winds reaching approximately force 4. As the vessel was a sailboat, the risk of capsizing became significant.

For approximately two hours, the crew faced dangerous conditions, with strong winds and cold water making survival difficult in the event of a capsize. The situation caused fear among those onboard, with the Emperor later stating: “I prayed to God and held on tightly; I was never that scared in my life.”

After prolonged exposure to the harsh conditions, the group was eventually rescued and brought safely back to land. Despite this, the incident left both physical and psychological effects on those involved. The Emperor later reported ongoing impacts, including numbness in the fingers and lasting stress from the experience.

The event is remembered as one of the most dangerous naval incidents in Stanlandic history.

Coat of Arms Change- 13 April 2026

On 14 April 2026, the leadership of the Great Stanlandic Empire approved a redesign of the national coat of arms.

The decision was made by the Emperor and members of the royaals after identifying issues with the previous design, including it being outdated and containing several flaws.

Following a brief internal discussion, a new design was quickly agreed upon. The updated coat of arms aimed to correct earlier problems and better represent the identity of Stanland.

Blat Installation- 13 April 2026

On 13 April 2026, the Great Stanlandic Empire conducted the first official transaction involving its national currency, the Stanlandic Blat.

The trade took place within the national Stanlandic bank, where 1 euro was exchanged for 1 Stanlandic Blat, thereby establishing the official value of the currency.

This event marked the formal introduction of the Blat as a recognized and standardized currency within Stanland.
