My name is Stan Koobs, and I am a fourth-year PhD student in Econometrics at Erasmus University Rotterdam and the Tinbergen Institute. My PhD supervisors are Prof. Dr. Richard Paap and Dr. Wendun Wang.
My research lies at the intersection of statistics and econometrics. I develop methods for valid inference in complex data settings, with interests in causal and policy evaluation, double machine learning, panel and network data, and e-value-based inference. I am also interested in distributional methods, including quantile modelling.
In the Fall of 2025, I visited the Department of Economics at Boston University, hosted by Prof. Iván Fernández-Val.
