April 2024: Congratulations to Dr. Mariam Sarwary, the recipient of the 2024 California Society of Anesthesiology President's "Rising Star" Impact Award! Dr. Sarwary has been involved in the CSA since her residency and currently serves as the Stanford RAAPM fellowship Associate Program Director. A well deserved honor!
March 2024: Our team had a great showing at ASRA 2024! Our current and incoming fellows presented a whopping 10 posters, including a Resident/Fellow Travel Award Abstract, three President's Choice Abstracts and two podium presentations. Here's a snap of the Stanford RAAPM dinner in San Diego.
March 2024: The Stanford regional service had this incredible team on March 8, appropriate for International Women's Day!
February 2024: Our much-needed rain is bringing us rainbows like this one I caught leaving the VA yesterday. We had a RAAPM wellness session yesterday, where an OB anesthesia fellow joined us in playing some games illustrating communication styles. Always nice to pause the clinical work and check in on our respective lives.

January 2024: Last night I got to make this pasta --> with two of our current RAAPM fellows, Dr. Hong and Dr. Wheeler, along with other Stanford anesthesia fellows, PDs, and the amazing Rocco Scordella at Vina Enoteca, at a super cool event organized just for Stanesthesia fellows. How do we get to have a monthly journal club at this Michelin Guide listed restaurant?!
October 2023: Just hosted our 3rd annual RAAPM Alumni Panel fellow lecture! Our esteemed alumni in private practice serve as panelists and provide the fellows with real-life insights on job searches: questions to ask, red flags, and signs of a solid group. One great tip: check out the ASA Community forums for practice insights on a national level.
October 2023: Jody will be representing Stanford at the inaugural virtual Regional Anesthesiology and Acute Pain Medicine Fellowship Meet & Greet on Wednesday, November 29, 2023 4:30-6pm PST (7:30-9pm EST), hosted by the ASRA Resident Section Committee. Check the ASRA website for details and links. Looking forward to meeting the next class of upcoming regional anesthesiologists!
