What can alums do NOW to assist Stanford students who are remaining on or leaving campus, especially our vulnerable ones?

"I can't return home, and I can't afford to stay."
One FLI student's mom is a cancer survivor, and they do not want to expose her, since they may have been exposed on campus.
One FLI student's mom is a healthcare worker in NY who now has been exposed.
Some students are not safe at home, are not allowed back home, have no health care at home after being exposed, etc.
"I'm not eligible for campus assistance...or I AM eligible, but all of my expenses aren't."
Extremely low-income students are eligible for housing and food support, but not for the bills they pay for their families, credit card payments, or other expenses they're responsible for.
Low-income students are not eligible for housing and food support and are facing costs of more than $6k, without adding in family support, medical costs, etc.

You will need your Stanford Alumni email address to access some opportunities. To find/open yours, please: 1) go to alumni.stanford.edu, 2) click the "Check Email" button up top; and 3) click "Continue" to open the email account in Gmail.
DONATE earmarked funds to Stanford's FLI Office
Select the “FLI Office General Fund” or “Opportunity Fund” from the drop down menu. Please mark funds "to support student COVID-19 displacement assistance requests"
FLI=First-Gen/Low Income students
POST offers students can claim: storage, miles, housing, funds, etc.
You must be logged into Google from your alumni email account (see steps above). Then, click this section's link from Chrome. If you're logged into your own Gmail, switch to your Stanford Alum account on the upper right.
FULFILL individual student needs/requests
Students with @stanford.edu addresses complete requests. If you can assist, you two will be emailed each other's emails to move forward independently.
LOAN funds to students for reimbursement later.
Front loans from the Student Support Fund to help them get around daily VenMo limits (you will be repaid).
DONATE to the Stanford Student COVID-19 Slush Fund
Funds will be sent to students in need during this transitional period and for longer term support that financial aid can not provide support for.
SHARE jobs and internships for FLI students
Complete this form to help Stanford BEAM and FLI advocates connect students who have lost jobs to work, professional development or networking.
DONATE to Stanford's Financial Aid COVID-19 Fund
Stanford has created a dedicated fund for alums to provide immediate help to students affected by COVID-19.
DONATE to the Black Community Services Center
The Black House is closed, but Dr. Roz and Christian are actively serving students and connecting them to resources.
