Stand Up Reminder ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled in connection with your use of the Stand Up Reminder Chrome Browser Extension.
Stand Up Reminder does NOT collect, store, transmit, or sell any personal data or personally identifiable information (PII).
No Personal Data: We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, browsing history, or any other personal details.
No Analytics or Tracking: We do not use third-party analytics services, tracking pixels, or cookies to track your behavior across websites.
No External Servers: The extension operates entirely locally within your Google Chrome browser. No data is transmitted to external servers.
To provide its core functionality, Stand Up Reminder utilizes standard browser storage APIs locally on your device:
chrome.storage: Saves your user preferences (such as focus session duration, break length, notification settings, and theme choices) locally or synced across your signed-in Chrome profile.
chrome.alarms: Used locally to trigger break timers and stand-up reminders.
chrome.notifications: Used locally to display desktop notifications when a focus session or break begins/ends.
chrome.idle: Used locally to detect system idle state so timers automatically pause when you step away from your computer.
activeTab & Content Script Permissions: Used exclusively to display visual break overlays on your active browser window during scheduled break times. No webpage content is inspected, stored, or transmitted.
We strictly adhere to privacy-first standards:
We do not sell any user data to third parties.
We do not transfer user data to third parties for advertising, creditworthiness, or lending purposes.
We do not use user data for any purpose unrelated to providing break reminders and focus timers.
All data related to the extension (your timer settings and preferences) is stored locally inside your browser's isolated storage environment managed by Google Chrome. You can clear or remove this data at any time by resetting your extension settings or uninstalling the extension.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect improvements or regulatory requirements. Any updates will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
If you have any questions or feedback regarding this Privacy Policy, please reach out via our extension store support page or repository.
