The 38th NBSAN meeting will be held at the University of St Andrews on 12th and 13th June 2025. The meeting will start at 2pm on 12th June and finish at 12:30pm on 13th June. There will be a conference dinner on 12th June at The Bridge in Rusacks St Andrews. If you would like to attend the dinner, please contact Jung Won Cho by 30th May.
We are able to provide financial support for a number of participants. We will prioritise PhD students and ECRs for this. If you require financial support, please complete this form.
All talks will be held in Purdie Lecture Theatre D, Purdie Building (School of Chemistry).
The dropped pin is the main entrance to the Purdie Building. Once you enter the building, you will see 'NBSAN - Lecture Theatre D' signs. Follow the arrows indicating 'Lecture Theatre D'. The lecture theatre is located in Level 3 of the building.
On Google Maps, searching 'School of Chemistry - University of St Andrews' leads to the correct entrance. The directions from the St Andrews Bus Station to the building can be found here. If you get off from the bus at the Old Course Hotel bus stop (the nearest bus stop from the building), then the directions from there to the building can be found here.
If you struggle to find the building or the room, don't hesitate to contact Jung Won Cho.
The university accommodation is one of the options within St Andrews and can be booked here. You can use a 10% discount code: CONF25
Another option within St Andrews is the Premier Inn, which is approximately 25-minute walk from the Purdie Building.
Staying in Dundee is also an option, which may be more affordable. The Stagecoach 99 bus runs between Dundee and St Andrews. During peak hours (roughly from 8am to 6pm), it runs every 7 minutes and every 15-20 minutes thereafter. The journey takes around 30 minutes.
More information about accommodation within/outside St Andrews can be found here.
The nearest train station is Leuchars. From there, you can get to St Andrews via the Stagecoach 99 bus. The journey takes around 15 minutes. Please make sure to take the 99 to St Andrews not the 99 to Dundee. Both buses stop at the same bus stop.
More information can be found here.
We are grateful for the financial support from the Glasgow Mathematical Journal Learning and Research Support Fund. The event is also supported by the London Mathematical Society and Heilbronn Institute for Mathematical Research (HIMR), the UKRI/EPSRC Additional Funding Programme for Mathematical Sciences.
