Stamped Concrete Merrimack NH

Stamped concrete is a great way to add curb appeal to any home. It is similar to mortared concrete, but stamped concrete is very easy to work with, and the finished product will not crack, separate or weaken over time like mortar can.

First, the slab is removed from the wall and placed on the floor. A trowel is used to scrape off any excess concrete that is left behind. This slabs is then pumped dry with a flat brush and leveled with a leveler. You may have to use a heavy duty piece of equipment to do this step.

Next, a cement mixer is used to mix the cement at the correct consistency to be used in the wall. To speed up the process, it is necessary to have the mixer attached to a power supply so that it can run on an air compressor. A squeegee is used to remove excess concrete from the surface of the wall before the cement mixture is added. After the wall is completely concrete, the cement mixture will be poured onto the surface of the wall.

The surface preparation is now complete, and it is time to allow the cement to set. The material should be allowed to set overnight.

After the concrete wall has set, the remainder of the concrete wall is removed and the walls are leveled with a leveler. All of the concrete is wiped away from the wall with a rag, and you are left with a nice clean surface.

Now all of the slabs must be sanded and prepared for staining and painting. If you want a light or medium stain, you can use a water-based stain, but if you prefer a heavier staining substance, use an oil based stain. Paint the surface of the wall with a medium or dark shade, allowing for any color variations in the concrete.

After the final surface preparation, the walls will need to be painted. Allow the paint to dry overnight before staining. The walls will then be painted using any of the common matte, glossy, or semi-gloss paint you like.
